    If "Zero F*cks Given" is a real thing, this won't matter. Keep the goalie that gives us the best chance to win and trade the other. It's also not a decision they'd have to make for a while since they're both under contract -- Lehner through 2017 and Ullmark through 2018.

    Eh, I'd rather get a few garbage wins early this season so that the team doesn't sink into Edmonton status after the last two years of bottoming out. They can graduate to "honest test" wins later.

    Maybe in this case. But in other cases you could prove that there's no way the rape could happen taken place. There could be surveillance footage. You could prove the timeline doesn't work out. Sometimes they can prove the wounds the supposed victim had were self-inflicted. Yes, there are ways to prove accusations are false. And in those cases, the person making the false accusations should be punished. We should punish false accusations both to protect people from having their lives ruined by a false accusation and to discourage false accusations from even happening. In the long run, it'll help the legitimate victims.

    Still no update on Kane's knee has me worried. If it wasn't as bad as it looked, you figure we would have heard by now.

    This is a huge game for us...it's the first time we'll see Eichel, Kane, and O'Reilly in the classic white sweater.

    I hear what you're saying, but I think a better scenario would be if the earth opened up and all the Boston sports teams and their fans were sucked into that chasm and transported either to Hell or to a parallel dimension (that is just like Hell).

    Most hope I've had at the end of a Sabres win since at least 2009. Just outstanding.

    It's to the point where I never celebrate a play as it happens because I want to wait a few seconds after it ends to be sure there's no flag. The NFL is actually a terrible product. It's saved by the fact that football is the ideal sport for gambling and fantasy (and both together, as the one million Fan Duel ads illustrate) but a pretty lousy product nonetheless.

    He'd be coming back from double hip surgery *and* playing in North America for the first time (smaller ice surface, different game) *and* playing against the best players in the world if we rushed him the the NHL out of desperation this month. No thanks. Let him spend some time (hopefully a full season) in Rochester before we make him a Sabre. I'm fine with Johnson, Lieuwen, and/or whoever we pick up until Lehner is back.
