This is an awesome idea. So much to do there when you aren't at the draft.

Last time the draft was in Buffalo, you just showed up. Are they different now?

If we're drafting 6-9, we're probably looking at Sergachev, Juolevi, Dubois, or McLeod. Tough to be unhappy with any of those guys.

He got an assist on the Fasching goal and I remember seeing him in the celebration for the other two goals. Weird. Not sure what the discrepancy is in that +/-.

He was on the ice for all three of the goals we scored today. (And the Jets' second.) Pretty nice debut.

Would love to hear your take on the atmosphere in the 3rd period. From watching on TV, it looked spectacular after we tied it and then took the lead with a random "Let's Go Buffalo!" chant breaking out in the final minutes. I think there's a big shift this year in that people don't hate or resent the team anymore. We have star players and promising young players, and the team is legitimately fun to watch. For me personally, it felt really weird today when we were down 5-0 after 5 minutes and I still felt pretty confident that we'd win the game.

If we give him three years, and this year is burned in the last 9 games, he'd be an RFA in two summers (the same time as 15 and 23). This might be a separate thing, but I do think she cultivates a "sweet" persona to the public. I saw her at the home opener working one of the ice cream stands. If she's trying to cultivate an image as sweet, humble, kind, approachable, etc., stuff like that is a way to do it. And there's nothing wrong with that. Who cares...we've just witnessed the birth of Concept of Kim Pegula.

If he hadn't mushed his glove into Risto's face right after the game ended, none of that happens. Love seeing all the smiles on the guys coming down the hallway.

First time in a long time where trading a pending UFA would be agonizing.

The puck control on that power play was pretty magical.

This is the crux of it. We gave up a lot, but it'll be OK if the players we got in return are worth it. We need more from Kane, Bogo, and Lehner for those trades to make sense. Lehner has to get healthy *and* play better than he has the last two seasons. And Kane and Bogo need to step it up as well because so far they don't look much different than the core guys we unloaded during the Tank years. Acquiring ROR and McGinn makes up for a lot but we're probably out of the running for a guy like Drouin because of how much we've already traded away.

Murray seems to think he's ready to play in the NHL now. I think they'll give him every chance to make the team next season. Only problem with giving him games at the end of this year is burning the first year of his contract. Not sure it'd be worth it.

Wonder if it was a neck injury or if he was concussed on that hit. Doesn't sound good either way.
