Every Sabres fan saw the replay a few times on the broadcast, and then a few more on Twitter afterwards. He sees he has a chance to hit Reinhart's head so he goes straight for it and leads with his elbow (and NHL elbow pads are basically rock-solid body armor at this point). It's a miracle Reinhart didn't suffer a concussion, or a neck injury given how his head jerked back. Sorry your favorite player is a scumbag. Weber's hit was garbage too, but at least everyone in the game day thread called him on it. And a few of us even praised Thorburn on standing up for his teammate. (Something the Sabres could learn.)

If you're talking about the one on Reinhart, he didn't "miss." It was a direct hit, and I still can't believe Reinhart wasn't hurt. A suspension would be guaranteed if Samson was hurt but since he finished the game, who knows? It *should* be a 20 game suspension, minimum. Maybe more, if that's not enough to get that out of the game. But, as we've seen, what *should* happen almost never does when the NHL is making decisions. #OffsidesReview #321pointsystem

Haven't seen every thread (I'm never opening a politics one here) but it seemed like something similar was happening in a lot of threads at once. It's tough to join a board when the majority of people (all of whom have been there longer) are all telling you to zip it.

Most of the board regulars don't handle it any better. And if you join a new board and every thread is someone with 10k posts attacking you, why would you stay?

Between that and Liger's spazz attack in the prospects thread, I can see why he thought our board sucked.

This board routinely chases new people out. It's not a good thing.

That play was the exact moment where I gave up on Kane having a decent season for us this year.

It'd be nice if he did something to shut them up. Or anything to help our team.

You can remove the head shots without removing all hits.

If that's what it takes, yes. I want to see the best players play. I get zero entertainment value out of seeing a person suffer a brain injury. The NHL is entertainment. Their compass should be "will this make our product more entertaining?" Seeing star players concussed and having their careers shortened isn't helping.
