Yes they do: The Bandits are arguably more competition to the Sabres in that they are a smaller commitment for season tickets and they're actually a dynastic franchise, both of which magnify their drawing power and provide an alternative to a franchise that just doesn't win.

Bands like The Temptations and the O'Jays did a lot of feel good music but they also did a lot of social commentary which unfortunately still applies today.

Bringing in Staal, Hall, Eakin, etc., I thought was the start of balancing out the team with veterans. At season's start, I thought that was the year. But Jack's injury and the utter failure of the vets brought in (on the whole) just messed everything up.

It's not that either. Arby's has been a huge disappointment every time I've gone in there. The roast beef I get at the deli counter of the grocery is 123% better.

Ol' Jack's been around a while, you know. (But not a Rolling Stones while.) I just find Jack White to be one of the best riffmasters I've ever heard. It's not just power chords, it's stuff that's unusual and yet still sounds good, like the syncopation in "Steady As She Goes."

Arby's is never the best choice.

I'd like to see Krebsie put on about 20 lb. of muscle and get some tutoring from Rayzor in the offseason. It would make him a better enforcer but also a better player overall.

I am. Unless you put me into Generation Jones, the mini-generation between Boomers and Gen X.

Who expected that?

I have plenty of 1970s music. These lists are plugging holes that probably should have been plugged decades ago. I will note that for the Rolling Stones, though, they're a recently acquired taste for me. I considered them garage band hacks that weren't really that good, but it's more that their sound is raw/unrefined (unlike, say, Pink Floyd or Steely Dan, which are very meticulously produced). But in the Stones' raw presentation, there's plenty of musical genius to be found. I didn't realize that when I was younger. The other notable change is my opinion of Bob Seger. I loved him when I was a kid, especially the old rock (like on Live Bullet) but when he started to trend toward more grown-up material and embraced more of a country influence, he lost me. I bought Against the Wind on vinyl when it first came out and can remember being disappointed. With more miles on the clock I listen to the same music and I think it's just brilliant.

Yeah, I like Mitts when he was here but he doesn't seem to be exactly tearing up the league since he was traded. I think he was slotted about right when he was a 3C here... he could elevate his game and move up the lineup for periods, but really not quite top 6 stuff. I think we've seen his ceiling, and it's as a AHL star/NHL 4th line injury callup.

I think he and Dahlin play well together in the offensive zone, but it seems that Byram doesn't care who he plays with; he likes the offensive part of being a defenseman, plain and simple.

If you have a seasoned veteran sitting in the AHL ready to be called up, all it means he's had more seasons to prove that he's not NHL level than someone like Rosen.
