I was in a dark place after the EDM loss. Things have not gotten any brighter.

This captures exactly why it's coaching and not the players.

I seriously think it might be as simple as trying a new curve on his stick. Last two years he was one of the best danglers in the league, but right now he's lost it. I also notice that in situations where he used to assertively drive into the zone, he's hesitating or peeling off towards the boards. I suspect he's dealing with an injury that doesn't keep him out of the lineup but hampers his skating.

This was really a sad, pathetic effort tonight by the Blue and Gold.

So both got roughing and unsportsmanlike.

Because the Sabres don't have the right coach. Duh.

They trade Eichel and he wins the Cup. Hmm. Guess it wasn't Eichel. Jeff Skinner is not the reason for the Sabres' lack of success. He's not a perfect player but he produces points, which every team needs.

Since being traded, Okposo has played three games, averaging 11:09 of ice time, 0 pts, -1. The Panthers are 1-1-1 in those games.

I had a couple brief, unsuccessful encounters with gambling. It was early in life when I didn't have the money to gamble and didn't wager much. But what I found is that my limited funds evaporated very quickly. Some people say they know that overall they won't win but they see it as "entertainment". For me, watching my money disappear is not entertaining. So I've never really had much interest in gambling. I don't have anything against people who gamble so long as they're responsible about it, but it's just not interested in it myself. At first I hated the gambling segments during Sabres coverage, now I just tune them out like a commercial (which is basically what they are). EDIT: Most amazing gambling thing I ever saw was in a near-empty casino in Bristol, UK, while on a business trip. We just walked through it to take a look. One of the guys with us said, "Watch this" and put a bet down on one number in the roulette table. No one else was at the table. They spun the wheel and he won. He said the number was the date of the first date with his wife and it hits more often than not.... but only if he plays it once and walks away. 😮

Is this a backhanded way of saying the Sabres are good?
