YES. I would be there is no team that shows up more often in a players NMC/No trade contract clause than the Buffalo Sabres. I bet there is no team that is declined more often than the Sabres with respect to having any discussions to be a potential new HC.

If they are under contract and get paid regardless, then ship the whole coaching staff to Rochester and have them coach the Amerks next year (vs. paying them for doing nothing). Under no circumstances should DG, Matty, Christie, Marty be in Buffalo next year. Appert can go run the harbor center for all I care.

He (Byrum) looked like a difference maker his first two games, but now he has caught the Sabres "inept" disease and looks as bad as the rest of the team....Good players come to Buffalo to die a meaningless death. Good Buffalo players go on to achieve greatness when they leave.

Unfortunately, there's no way to threaten their players to do better as they will think "GREAT, maybe I will end up getting traded to a better team". It might work for other team's players though....as their GM can say "You better play better or else I'm trading you to Buffalo!!!"
