I'm not seeing the game, including the last Benson penalty....but if DG finally opened his mouth, then good for him. Today's NHL refs are nothing but incompetent self-righteous snots who are too wimpy to play professional hockey themselves.

I might be crazy, but I wonder if Mitts should get a chance to play at net front. I trust his hands much more than Tuch's or KO's to be able to score, whether it be by deflection or rebound.

I'm not able to see the game....is DG reacting at all to the officiating or is he just bending over and taking it with a smile?

Perhaps, but we need a LOT (which puts us at a disadvantage unfortunately). Our situation puts a greater desperation and pressure on pulling off trades because of other team's players having NMC's (to which Buffalo is not a popular destination) and UFA's not wanting to sign here as well.

We have to grossly overpay because we lack leverage....other teams know Buffalo's management is desperate, or incompetent.

They were pretty good together in the WJC's one year.

Games like this remind me that the Sabres don't have to win (although that would be great), but as long as they play hard and fight hard, skate hard, then I am entertained and will support them any way I can.

It's so hard to watch our team when they're playing one that is really well coached....the Canes play as a TEAM while the Sabres play like individuals.

Offer Savoie and Rosen plus a draft pick. The Sens are still cap constrained.

These suggested fixes may help achieve some success in the regular season, but IMHO they are not enough to go far in the playoffs. The rigors of postseason require a team more physically suited for them, which Buffalo is hilariously inadequate for.
