  1. Versteeg was flopping like a fish there.
  2. It's gonna be a raucous atmosphere in the room tonight as Mike Weber breaks out the champagne to celebrate the team's 52nd point of the season.
  3. The Leafs ought to be ashamed of themselves, gave up three unanswered to the Sabres, including a scoring chance that not even Matt Ellis could miss.
  4. Matt Ellis is going to be on the team again next season.
  5. I'm glad the players feel they have something to be proud of now after the season has consisted of six months of embarrassingly, historically bad hockey that people were still coming out for, for some reason. You're making a push for second to last place - good job guys, you've earned it.
  6. There's no getting rid of him either. Season after season he finds his way back. 31 GP this year and 0 points.
  7. That has to be a microcosm for Arizona's season. The goalie is faceplanted on the ice and you still can't put it in the net.
  8. Lindy's ultimate payback on the franchise that fired him is to give them 4 points.
  9. This intermission report basically boils down to them saying "I know this looks boring, but actually, it's good."
  10. Sometimes I kinda like when the Sabres eke out a win because I can only imagine how embarrassed the other team must feel. It was nice of the Bruins to be really lousy in the shootout for Lindback too.
  11. I'm just waiting for the point next season where it appears that Matt Ellis is finally gone for good after having been in the franchise's bloodstream for seven years, and then he somehow comes back and gets a regular roster spot.
  12. I think Jerry D'Amigo's name is pretty funny for some reason. I look forward to seeing him in action.
  13. Bergevin: Let's cut to the chase here, Tim. You and I both know what I'm after. Murray: Stewart? Bergevin: Brian Flynn.
  14. At least you can be assured that Murray is truly committed to tanking if he's dealing NHL caliber players on the level of Brian Flynn.
  15. It's a good thing the Sabres are loaded on the playmaking center front then.
  16. No, actually. Stewart's first goal was a nice rebound collection in front, and the second one was a pass that went off a Canucks d-man and in.
  17. Good lord what a beatdown. Nolan just refuses to give his goalies a mercy pull when they're getting shelled too.
  18. I do like that they're not letting Steen off the hook for bonking Ennis with a couple of rights earlier, even if McCormick's attempt was completely inept.
  19. What is McGuire on about? That hit was well after the whistle.
  20. Imagine how embarrassed the Sharks must have been to lose to this team, in regulation, at home.
  21. I loved the Florida center protesting about getting tossed from the circle and then the winger comes in and beats Stafford on the draw anyway.
  22. He comically fell down in the corner while carrying the puck but managed to get it over to Weber, other than that he hasn't been offensive. He had an assist on the first goal.
  23. I knew they would be bad but checking my phone at work and seeing the SOG after two at 29-7 was still kinda shocking. 7 shots on goal!
  24. That was actually a pretty fun game but there's no more fitting end to this season than Ville Leino floundering around.
  25. Fortunately that won't count as a goal for Leino's individual stats so the dream of finishing the year with no goals scored lives on.
