    He was interviewed on a local Boston news channel and after talking about how he was a Bruins fan growing up as a kid the reporter fed him a very leading question "Being from the area would you someday like to see yourself in a Bruins uniform?"... or something like that. Of course he's going to say yes, it really didn't move the needle for me at all.

    Pump the brakes, enough of the personal attacks. It's OK to have different opinions. I, for one, enjoy the fact we all see them a shade differently. Power won't be Hedman or Jones or Myers, he'll be the first Owen Power.

    What are those scouch rankings against? All college defenseman? How does Power stack up against other true freshmen college d-men both past and present? I'm having a hard time thinking of another top D prospect who played NCAA in his draft year. @LGR4GM would you rather have Jake Sanderson or Owen Power?

    I think its utter BS that Vegas is exempt from the draft yet the 31st ranked team has to lose a player.

    Impressive. I like him even more now.

    IMO his backward skating his fine... it's his transitions that need work, and it's not hard to fix. Not to make excused, but consider he grew 3" over the course of last season and of course his skating will suffer, specifically transitions. That said, for him to do what he did at the Worlds... even took home a game MVP award... for a guy who needs work in a few areas is pretty damn good.

    11 goals in 40 games in the swedish league? Elite skating, vision and hockey sense should result in more production for a winger... shouldn't it? I love his package of skill, skating and hockey sense... but his lack of production is a concern IMO.

    I like both Clarke and McTavish better than Beniers. I think he (Beniers) drops out of the top 5. Clarke when at his best looks a lot like Makar... which is very inticing, but just haven't seen enough of it.

    Beniers profiles out to ROR? I don't see it. Love his compete level, but his skills and offensive awareness are very average IMO.

    Barzal or ROR? lol If you're talking ceilings, Power could reach Hedman... his floor is Ekblad (who, btw went #1 OA). Beniers is good prospect, hard working 2way center. I like his game, but he'll never put up points at the same rate as Barzal or ROR.... i see him top out at a 40-45pt guy. Eklund might be a 25 goal guy someday (11 in 40 games in the swedish league isnt that impressive). Don't get me wrong, I like his game, but Power's hockey sense is just so impressive at his age.
