Starts in Roch, gets called up when Dell or Anderson get injured or prove they can't handle the load. Plays a few games here and there throughout the year, but spends most of the year in Roch.

I'm not concerned about wins and losses this coming season. The expectations are about as low as they can be in a stacked division. What I want to see is a team that plays for each other. A team that doesn't back down or quit. A team that works their tails off from the opening faceoff to final horn no matter the score. That's what this franchise needs to reconnect with the fans in Buffalo.

My source says the starter will in fact be Gibby.

Gibson has played 86 games the past two seasons. Ullmark 54. Over the past 2 seasons, ANA has given up the 4th most high danger chances against, 718. BUF has give up 600, good for 24th most. Would love to see him get a fresh start in the blue and gold.

He's an early birthday for his draft year. He's prolly a 2nd or 3rd round pick if he went the following draft (post setting records at the WJC).

Gibson is severely underrated on this board. He's probably gonna be USA's starter in Beijing. The defense in front of him on the Ducks is absolutely trash. He makes highlight reel saves just about every game, he'd be a huge upgrade over Ullmark IMO.

1 - Outdoor games have lost their appeal IMO. It just feels so gimmicky at this point. Pace of play is slow, ice is bad, etc... do 1 game a year in a cold weather location out in the wilderness and be done with it. 2 - Hamilton in March? Really? What could go wrong... SMH. 3 - This feels like gimmick to sell tickets in Buffalo as the product won't be NHL caliber. "Oh, you'd like to go to the outdoor game? Great! Just buy this 20-pack and we'll include the option to purchase a ticket for the outdoor game :)"
