  1. Jack was on a loaded BU team that went to the Frozen Four final. Minnesota this year is just meh.
  2. What separates Mittlestadt from lots of other skilled players is his relentlessness on the puck. He plays a complete 200 foot game, which at his age and talent level is a rarity. I see more Datsyuk and Forsberg in him than anything else.
  3. He's getting scoring chances but his shot is terrible, and he still needs to get stronger on his skates. Can it be fixed? Sure, but he needs to put the work in. That said I think he gets moved in the summer.
  4. this
  5. Tough tough loss. I'd rather watch then lose 6-4 in regulation than get the point for an OT loss. We were told Housley would open up the offensive and we'd have fun hockey, it's quite the opposite.
  6. Ravens will lose, Titans will lose, and Chargers will lose.... and Bill's will lose. There is no other narrative in this particular universe we live in.
  7. He's 183lbs. I have no proof tho, you'll just have take my word for it.
  8. He's not 200lbs lol.
  9. He reminds alot me of Tim Connolly. Soft silky hands, sees the ice really well. Fragile frame tho is my concern, hope they leave him school for another couple years... keep him away from this toxic environment.
  10. Where there's smoke there's fire.
  11. Gulls score with less than a minute, win 4-3. Moulson with second star.
  12. Correct, and Corey Tropp had an absolutely filthy goal pulling the puck between his own legs and roofing it. Still 3-3 HALF WAY through the third period.
  13. Matty Mo just scored his first as a member of the Reign.... and I was there to witness it lol! 3-3 after 2, Petersen in the cage for the Reign looks terrible, no rebound control and can't find the biscuit through traffic. Entertaining game tho, a handful of fights already, these teams don't like each other. Moulson also assisted in the first goal, he looks slow, but is positionally sound and can dish.
  14. Consider there are infinite parallel universes... in at least one of those universes the Sabres win the lottery every year. Likewise, in at least one of those universes they never win the lottery. Which universe do we live in?
  15. Even if they finish dead last, they still only have a less than 1 in 5 chance of keeping of the first overall pick.
  16. Michael Jackson - Elvis - Neil Young - Bill Cosby
  17. sketchy
  18. It's a subjectively flawed stat at best. All of us here know that when it comes to grading defenseman the only stat that matters is +/- (team relative, of course).
  19. That actually sounds quite delicious. Anybody watch the Road to the Winter Classic episode last night? They showed Phil in the locker room addressing the players after the OT loss to CAR. He sounded emotionally detached... just saying they have to be better... not one ounce of anger or emotion in his tone. Seemed rather strange, and gave a clear impression that he's a soft coach, let's the guys off easily.
  20. Not mine, it's based off a conversation between Alice and the Cheshire Cat in "Alice in Wonderland".... where she doesn't know where she's going, and the cat says that if that's the case it doesn't matter which road you take... you'll get there (somewhere anyway).
  21. If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there. That said, I'll be at the Reign/Gulls game this Saturday. Will post a full post-game report on our beloved Matt Moulson.... IMO he's earned a call-up.
  22. Terrible idea... Eichel is now saddled with one guy who has no offensive awareness but can skate well, and a guy with decent offensive awareness who cannot skate. Just dumb. They've tried that before and it didn't work, so let's do the same thing again? IMO Botterill and Housley's idea of everybody starting with a clean slate at the beginning of the season has set this team back. They're simply going through all the line combinations that have already been tried, there's tons of film on these guys but they decided to just start from scratch. Ignoring their previous body of work. “Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.” ...so here we are.
  23. Ville Lieno was good at that too.
  24. Showcase for a trade.
