I still have issues with Housley's approach. That said, he's an NHL rookie head coach himself... he has room to grow. I like his response after the game tonight... early in the season I'm not sure he takes that same approach. And the idea that him and Botterill gave everybody a clean slate at the start of the season when there was years of film on some of these guys... "Whoever wishes to foresee the future must consult the past; for human events ever resemble those of preceding times. This arises from the fact that they are produced by men who ever have been, and ever shall be, animated by the same passions, and thus they necessarily have the same results." - Machiavelli

His skill set is outrageous tho. He played high school last season and to jump right into D1 and do what he did in the WJC is pretty special. Keller was on a stacked BU team (McAvoy, Greenway, Fabbro, Bellows, etc). Same with Boeser (Caggiula Scmaltz, Stecher). Both Keller and Boeser also had 2 USHL seasons under their belts before college. While Casey's production may not match those two, his upside is tantalizing.

He showed flashes of dominance last season too. Hope he brings it consistently, really needed this in October and November.

They're only 3 points out of a playoff spot. Odd.

I had some coaches like that... where they really only care about one thing... how you play. Scoreboard doesn't matter. He's attacking the game instead of waiting for the game to come to him. Love it.

I'm OK with double stripes on the socks. But IMO the jersey would look much better with just a single triple stripe around the bottom and elbows.

it's laughable how many times our d-men are beat to pucks below the goal line

Plumbing problems suck. Rented a power snake from HD a few years ago to clean out my sewer drain. The thing got stuck about 60 ft out near the street, under the front lawn... had to call a plumber to come help get it unstuck and then clean out some roots. Was lucky they didn't need to dig it out of the lawn. Ended up getting the sewer line relined and no drainage problems since, that was 5-6 years ago. Just had my entire house repiped with PEX after 7 pinhole leaks (+ one slab leak) over the past 5 years. House was built in 64', and whatever copper they used, combined with whatever they put in the water here in south orange county, is destroying the copper. Just about all my neighbors have the same issues. I think it's a conspiracy orchestrated between local governments and the plumbers union, ha! You'd think that would solve all the plumbing issues, but now we have some shower drains backing up because of old cast iron drains that accumulate gunk (and my wife's long hair). I've tried everything, various chemicals, snake, plunger, etc.. I'm thinking about getting it hydro-jetted as a last resort.

Ullmark not in the Roch lineup tonight. Trade winds blowing?
-
Who would be the tendy in Roch? Johansson? I hope Ullmark makes the jump next season, but there's still some glaring issues with his game that concern me long term.

I have some friends in the Ducks organization. I hope ANA losses in dramatic fashion. That said, I have a dentist appoint at 7p ET which will probably be more enjoyable than watching this sh*t show.

Why isn't CM on the Olympic roster? Borgen made it, Dahlin is in, some other young players too.

There's and unwritten code, that if a veteran guy opens himself up for a big hit, that you lay off. This is the new NHL.
-
To be honest, Gudas really isn't that type of player so you need to give him the benefit of the doubt.... wait.

I wouldn't consider any 2nd and 3rd picks "busts"... that's not how the NHL draft works. Top 15 1st round guys should hit maybe 50% of the time?
