This would be his senior year if he stayed at BU.
From my personal experience I was a much different player as a senior vs a freshman. Bigger, stronger, faster... much much more confident. You see glimpses of Eichel taking over a shift, dictating play... still need to see more of that and less of him just reacting to the play.
So difficult to pencil guys into starting C spots before they get here... we really don't know how they'll react to the speed of the NHL game.
sucking a bag o' against Dallas and getting boo'd off the ice might have lit a fire... who knows. let's see how long this lasts tho before we consider this issue resolved.

Blamed him for what? Sure maybe his system was the greatest (even tho it got them 74 points without Eichel for half a season).
They can still evaluate effort and skill no matter the system... and Lehner.
I would take the reverse approach, if I'm Phil I tell the team they're on their own for this practice. Do whatever it is you want to do, I'll be watching from the stands.
This would make sense... however, they had a few years of game film at their disposal to evaluate the players strengths and weaknesses BEFORE the season started, yet they completely ignored it.
If Kane is traded there are only 5 forwards under contract next season... not counting Rodrigues.... honestly I have no idea what he's still doing in Buffalo. Why is he still here? Smells very tanky.
Everybody is just super comfortable collecting their Pegulacoin, an easy going coach they see as a friend, top rate facilities, low expectations, everybody gets to play equal ice time, no problem. Why rock the boat?
