  1. I'm fine with KO calling the guy a ***** *****... just stay away from the retard, *****, ***** slanted terms. For example, instead of "Are you a ***** retard?!" use something less offensive like "Do you have a learning disability?!"
  2. A primary reason the D are all playing better this year is because of competition. If you start trading guys away then there's less competition, and that's no bueno. I believe JBOTs understands this.
  3. Watched the DAL/SJS game last night. Heiskanen is the real deal. What a player. He's fast, smart and can fire the puck.... playing 23min/gm.... still not as silky as Dahlin tho ?
  4. I agree that Jack is doing better with Sam than he was with Pominville. But that doesn't mean Reinhart is a player who makes everybody around him better. If that were true, you could bump Sam down to the second line and suddenly you'd start seeing guys like Okposo and Sheary starting to score.. but that hasn't been the case.
  5. Sam is a good player, but he's not a great player and he doesn't make anybody around him better. He's getting point because of who he's playing with. If he did make others around him better he'd be centering the second line. Another play from last night, Bogo makes a perfect cross ice pass to Sam, right in his wheel house and he muffs the one-timer with a yawning cage. That should've been an easy goal, a top line winger needs to convert there but he mis-fired. He's a not a guy who's going to score from the perimeter because his shot is not very good. Skinner also doesn't have an elite level shot, but he's fantastic cleaning up around the net. Sam is a smart player, rarely out of position, usually makes the correct read and can anticipate very well. But it ends there. For BUF to be a contender they need an elite shooter on Jacks wing to compliment Skinner.... and more scoring depth down the lineup, namely a number 2 center.
  6. 76th out 90? OK. He's a below average top line player (assists wise), bottom 3rd in the league.
  7. Yes, the stuff that gets said is ridiculous. I played my college hockey in the early 90s when it was OK to say anything. These days you can't use racial slurs, or call somebody a f-a-g or gay or anything homosexual without facing suspension. I found this out first hand a few years ago, lol. Anyway, the "retard" term is used a lot by younger kids and adolescents, so it was surprising to hear that come out of KO's mouth.... Doesn't he do charity work for mentally disabled kids? What if there was a family of a mentally disabled kid sitting right behind him? Or heard that on TV like I did? He's in the public eye and should choose his words more carefully especially when sitting right next to Rayzor with the headset.
  8. Don't trade anybody.... continue to develop all of them until push comes to shove. 100% Pilut goes down to Roch when McCabe and Scandella are healthy.
  9. So I rewatched the clip of Okposo yelling from the bench.... turned the volume way up so I could here him over Rayzor. Okposo asked the guy if he was retarded and then called him a ***** *****. Honestly, lost a little bit of respect for the guy is he's calling guys retarded. That's as bad as a racial slur IMO.
  10. 94 career assists in 281 NHL games. That's not even top 100 in the league over the past 4 seasons in assists. He was touted as such a heady player coming out of junior and you see him occasionally make some very nice passes, but he just doesn't do it often enough for whatever reason.. that's why I have an issue with him.... and he's mistake prone... for example against ARI they had the puck in the zone for like 30s or so, they were buzzing getting to all the lose pucks, Eichel makes a nice play to glove the puck out of the air and immediately feeds Reinhart who just gives the puck away to an ARI player a few feet away as he mishandled it for whatever reason made a lazy attempt and the entire momentum is shifted.
  11. Well the Av's (and Nuggets) owner is a Walmart heiress... Ann Walton (net worth of $6.8 billion). Her father Bud Walton was the brother (and business partner) of Sam Walton. What this has to do with anything, idk. Maybe she's not a hockey fan?

  13. Torrana?
  14. Fake it till you make it.
  15. bust
  16. Amazing. I will watch that game in it's entirety.
  17. Can they finally play a complete game? If not, which period(s) will they show up for? I'll say they start out slow, exit the first trailing 2-0. Turn it up in the second, enter the third tied at 2. Go up 3-2 early in the 3rd, Yotes' tie it late... BUF wins in a shootout.
  18. Nice, looks like a good one. I've worked from home full-time for the past 11 years. I'm busy in the evenings shuttling my boys around to their practices and whatnot, otherwise, like you said, I'd lose my mind. I also frequent a few coffee shops during the day, just to see live humans (I don't consider my wife a human).
  19. Broke a bone in my right hand Tuesday night.
  20. Thompson, Sobotka, Berglund and a 1st for O'Reilly
  21. Nicely done @GASabresIUFAN To add to that, IMO what we're seeing is the maturation of a young hockey team... it's a process. First they need to figure out how to win. Then they need to figure out how to play that way consistently. Finally they need to learn how to play with a lead and close out games. They seem to have figured out what it takes it win, but still haven't figured out how to bring that level of play consistently period to period. I'm not sure they played a full 60min game yet this season... and they certainly haven't figured out how to play with a lead and close out games.
  22. Still feels like a loss. They won't make the playoffs unless they can put complete games together and make a habit of it.
  23. Defense wins championships.
  24. he should just retire at this point
  25. Reinhart needs to recognize the situation and not make a lazy blind backhand pass attempt. That was a "hope" pass. He had time to handle the puck and setup. The Sabre's like their D to attack the net.. they did. Reinhart was out to lunch. On the odd man rush, sure the defender initially needs to take away the pass but if the puck carrier attacks the center of the ice you need to defend him and not let him get off an uncontested shot from the slot.
