Pilut sucks until he proves otherwise. There's a reason he wasn't drafted. There's a reason he's been in Sweden for so long. He's a poor man's Victor Antipin. His AHL stats are meaningless, that's like B level hockey. That said, I'm pumped to see him play.

I listened to Beaulieu's interview again and he actually said "I knew right after pre-game skate that (I was going to play because..) Scandy was unavailable".

Beaulieu said Scandella 'fell ill" just prior to the SJ game when asked if he was expecting to play.

The Sabres talking like they played well and that it could've gone either way. IMO they looked sloppy and unorganized... giving up too many odd man rushes, fumbling pucks, turnovers.... didn't look very pretty to my eyes.

I briefly dated a girl from CCHS, a solid Cheektowaga 6. And I played some hockey with some clowns from Maryvale... one of the kid's last name was Gena, that's all I remember.

No did not attend CCHS or Maryvale... I played some youth hockey at the Rec Center tho. Best ice in WNY.

His shooting % is way up, 23% vs 13% and his goalie is certainly making more saves, his PDO with CAR last year was below 100 IIRC, it's around 105 this season.

I sincerely hope nobody trades for him.

Top 5 Skinner +13.5 Beaulieu +6.3 Dahlin +5.4 Nelson +5.1 Pominville +4.8 Bottom 5 Sheary -3.2 Scandella -4.4 Thompson -4.7 Larsson -5.9 Ristolainen -10.1 ...everybody else is low single digits.

Risto is still a -8 (trPM -10 oof), he's flawed. But he makes up for it with his celly's.
