  1. So if RK has the right approach, and KA is angry they don't compete and don't play with any grit... what's the solution? Which players do you think KA is referring to? Who lacks grit and compete? If I had to pick 1 guy that is softer than baby ***** to play against I'd start with a guy like Sam Reinhart.
  2. Exactly. I, for one, didn't really care if he spoke to the media or not. Everything that was said rings hollow if he just sits on his hands. Actions speak louder than words. Him being angry doesn't solve anything.
  3. As some who played at a high level, there's a distinct difference in the amount of "buzz" in the lockerroom when going into a game you know you can win vs a game you think you can win. Playing all these top teams night in and night out is taking it's toll and will only get worse believe it or not. I understand they're pros and thats what they get paid to do, but they're human. It's just a really ***** set of circumstances. I'd be OK if they tried a different coach, but hearing the players speak, I don't think it would change much... maybe briefly. They need confidence more than anything.
  4. If they were in the North division, they might be scoring a bunch, have a winning record and everyone would be excited for playoffs. The deck was stacked against them from the get go, plus key injuries, covid, little practice time with 6 new forwards trying to learn how to play with eachother, Eichel injury, 10 month layoff, playing in an 8 team league with 6 playoff teams from last year, etc.. That's why they're not firing anybody. So yeah it bugs me that everybody is spouting off about how they're on par with the tank teams, etc etc... without understanding that this season is unlike any other. That said, Ralph kinda sucks doesn't he?
  5. That's not a fair comparison. Imagine if that tank team played a top 5 team in the league most nights. They might have only 1 or 2 wins over that stretch. Not an excuse, but when a team is struggling searching for confidence, under normal circumstances they'd eventually play a team or two that are softies... Put up a bunch of goals and snap out of their funk. Buffalo gets the Flyers, Islanders, Bruins, Pittsburgh for the next 2 weeks, so this thing has the potential to snowball into the likes of something never seen before.
  6. Exactly, it sends a message to players and fans that losing is acceptable. How to build a losing culture. If this was rebuild, then fine, stick it out etc... but this is a cap team who expected to contend, there has to be a higher standard. DO BETTER
  7. they're 11-11-2 and just won 7-3, but they have a higher standard DO BETTER
  8. At least issue a statement of some sort to placate the fanbase.
  9. he needs an enema
  10. need a power play
  11. this was so predictable
  12. He hasn't even been GM for a year, they're not moving him anywhere. It really hope this means they're looking to fill a POHO/Czar type position. If so, this could be a candidate list: Rutherford Lombardi Babcock Julien Boudreau Milbury Lafontaine Hitchcock Larry Robinson Keenan Chiarelli Mike Gillis Dale Tallon Weekes
  13. 10 years too late, but I'll allow it
  14. One would assume any Eichel deal would include an established center and center prospect.... but we're talking about the Sabres, so....
  15. Yeah I get it... it speaks well for his character, as a rookie he's letting his teammates know what he's about. That's nice, but it doesn't move the needle wrt fixing what's wrong with the organization as a whole. Guys that I'd like to see fight in the next few games in no particular order... Reinhart VO Skinner Hall Eichel Dahlin Hutton Jokiharju
  16. It's true that he's playing well, but at $6m/yr he needs to be scoring and creating more.
  17. .. but how was the synergy?
  18. I agree with this. However, do you trust Sabres management to execute a trade of this magnitude? I certainly don't. With the state of the franchise, with the financial issues causing them to trim down a large chunck of their front office positions, I'm afraid the primary motivation behind an Eichel trade would be to dump salary.... meaning the return will most likely be underwhelming.
  19. The way Joe said it so matter of factly feels like it's most likely the truth. Maybe it came from Eichel's camp. If he wants to be a Ranger, perhaps they felt it best to inform their media exactly why he's been struggling this season.
  20. What is KA supposed to say? All you're going to hear is "It's been an unprecedented season with the long layoff and lack of a proper training camp the team hasn't been able to come together yet on the ice but we feel we have the right mix and are 100% behind Ralph and the coaching staff who are doing everything they can to uh blah blah blah. "
  21. RK: well you see the injury at the time you see uh the uh player in question entering training camp obviously not an ideal situation certainly we uh the region um where the injury occured uh the skating and conditioing getting the player fit what happened earlier before training camp not really say what you think the issue might what uh you feel to be a typical thing where the impact of the movement and the uh lack of the attention we felt it would be best to uh you see thats how it affected the player where if you look at it from the team the ability to uh what the idea where if that who the player is if we uh felt it best for Jack and the team if he couldn't go but the uh warmups if bodily region where we felt if the player did he could but not we couldn't feel if the team did what who where said he if went... Jack: i broke a rib
  22. They lost. Don't care about the fight, don't care about Skinner's game... it's a loss. Do Better.
  23. switch goalies and Buffalo wins this game easy
