classic Reinhart, another one bounces in off his stick

I'd like to see a little more aggressiveness in the d-zone in the 3rd. They back off too much, give them too much respect.. they need to close their gaps and get after it. That's been a problem for years, they play aggressive at times but always seem to regress into PK mode as the game moves along.

He does look slow, doesn't have that extra gear to pull away. My guess is back spasms. Shoulder injury wouldn't prevent him from reaching top speed.

their forecheck rotation has been excellent

I want to believe in KA. He's a good kid, I know him a bit as our paths crossed a few times on the ice as young players. My concern is that he'll hesitate to make those ruthless cut throat type decisions every GM has to make at some point. Eg, if it comes to time fire RK, I just can't seem him pulling the trigger, maybe he'll surprise me, but I'm not sure he has it in him. The idea that he's simply a Pegula puppet is very possible. I'm not even going to entertain idea's of who would be a good replacement at GM and coach, because we have this conversation every year and watch as qualified candidates gets scooped up and have success. I'll go back to John Cooper almost 10 years ago... there was a group on here who were banging the drump for him for a couple seasons before he got promoted to the Lightning. Gerard Gallant, when he was let go by Florida, before Vegas grabbed him. It's exhausting and pointless.... Until there's a president/czar who knows hockey and has connections, nothing is going to change.

I tested positive (w/ symptoms) 13 days ago. My wife and 2 boys (15/17), managed to avoid catching it, so it's possible for you to dodge it, but you need to make sure your wife is sequestered to a single room in the house with her own bathroom. Make sure you wear a mask when bringing her food/clothes/supplies/etc... and wear gloves if possible, wash your hands frequently. I had similar symptoms to your wife, the worst of it lasts about 3-4 days, fever broke on day 7. I took a multi-vitamin, zinc and magnesium supplements daily. Good luck, hope your wife pulls through and you stay negative.

They just won their first game in forever and now RK is making lineup changes... What could possibly go wrong? SMH Anyway, another terrible matchup for the Sabres... Trotz is just light years ahead of RK when it comes to strategy. I see a 5-1 NYI win, Sabres get maybe 20 shots on goal. Just an ugly ugly game, exacerbated by lack of depth on the back-end.

the only gripe i have with skinner is that he seems to quit on plays... his first effort is good, but second and thrid effort are not consistent enough.

can't see them finishing this game in Tahoe, the ice is a disaster. brilliant idea to use dark paint under the ice for a day game, smh. they don't appear to have lights, so they're screwed.

looks like a sprained MCL... had the same injury in college. i missed 6 weeks, hopefully his is not as bad.

They played to win. It looked like they believed they could. One small step, now they need to figure how to come out like that every game.

I had symptoms and tested positive 11 days ago. symptoms (fever, fatigue, sore throat, body ache) lasted 7-8 days. I have smell back, but only in my left nostril. Some taste is starting to come back as well.

Our guidelines here are 10 days and 24hrs without fever.

That's great! I'm on day 10. Feeling much much better, symptom free the past 2 days, energy levels improving. Only thing is a lingering cough, a little tightness in the chest, typical of past respiratory viruses I've had in the past which can linger for a few weeks. I consider myself lucky, and best of all my wife and 2 boys did not catch it.

Dahlin lacks NHL level explosiveness. His top end speed also isn't very good. He has no ability to make up ground on anybody who gets behind him. However, his edge work is elite. It's actually quite puzzling how he can be so good on his edges, but lack any explosiveness whatsoever. Add the fact that he gained weight this offseason and he looks even more sluggish out there. If I'm GM, I'm making sure he's doing explosive first step drills every single day after practice and in the gym.

If this is what we get from Hall during a contract year, just imagine the offensive output when he's on a long term pegula bucks deal. Welcome to the country club!

Fixing the Sabres Long-Term - Can it be done?
pi2000 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
The number 1 priority should be goaltending. If I was GM, Hutton woulda been gone this offseason and replaced with a starter. If I'm made GM right now, I call every team in the league today to find a goalie. Hutton is waived immediately. Ullmark will play every game until I find a permanent solution in net. I also tell Ralph and the players they have 20 games to show something. If nothing changes Ralph is gone and I bring in Bruce Boudreau to close out the season. This puts the players on notice that RKs future is in their hands. I also put Reinhart, Miller, and Montour up on the trade block. Looking for a veteran left shot D. On day 2 I put Kyle Okposo on waivers. He'll go play in Roch the remainder of the season, yes there is no cap savings but he sucks, so buh bye. I buy him out over the summer, saving $1mil next season, and $3mil the following season. Rasmus Asplund takes his place in the lineup. Day 3 I call Seattle and try to work a deal so they take Jeff Skinner as part of an expansion draft deal. Everything is on the table. -
Rasmus Ristolainen Talks His Corona Virus Disease Course
pi2000 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
The fact they weren't doing rapid testing until just recently is completely irresponsible. Lives and careers are at stake here. Hopefully Risto makes a full recovery. -
Reinhart woulda fell down
