  1. Hard to tell. Right now she is majoring in facebook with a minor in texting and another minor in teenage boys.
  2. Don't get me wrong. I'm willing to help out with some of the costs, but by no means do I have the financial wherewithal to write a blank check to any college in the nation. My post was aimed at, regardless of who is paying, the costs are soaring!
  3. My daughter is in 10th grade and I have started just casually looking at college tuition. Niagara 35k and Canisius 40k per year! Thank god for SUNY.
  4. People who latch onto a word and find the need to work it into every conversation or email. I have a coworker who loves to use the words vetted/vetting which you never heard used much in the past. Just say you "reviewed" it and lets move on. :wallbash: Also, if I searched this thread, I'd probably find that I complain about this a LOT, but get rid of the freakin' penny. I'm sick of give a penny/take a penny and even worse, cashiers who round up or down your change to avoid handing out pennies. On a related note...stop making paper dollar bills. The reason why the 1 and 2 dollar coins have never taken off is because they keep churning out the paper.
  5. Somebody help me out... Why, while doing a commercial with Cellino & Barnes for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation does Derek Roy have a Vitamin Water jersey on?
  6. While I still follow the tournament, to me it is not the "must see TV" that it was 5+ years ago. It seems like there are more and more players who are "one and done" before hopping to the NBA. This has really turned me off. Make it a rule that they must stay in school for 3 years(similar to NCAA football) or just go right to the NBA from HS.
  7. I noticed that after I posted, but was too tired to fix it. :D
  8. 12:10 and the thread is open. :nana:
  9. Really? Sorry but I don't see the pissed-off attitude. Help me out here? Maybe I just need to attend a Lethbridge Bronco seminar on becoming a Mancar-iac.
  10. Not to mention a gorgeous day in WNY!
  11. To the dumbasses in the front row of the 300 level...stop leaning over the glass. THERE IS NO ONE IN FRONT OF YOU! You can sit back and see the game just fine. Learn to deal with the top of the glass in your sightline or get tickets in a different row. I am sick of telling you to sit back because you are blocking my view of the far end of the rink.
  12. After going to the movies for the first time in about a year, I now realize one of the main reasons why I don't go more is that I hate price gouging. I have no problem with concession stand mark ups, but the prices you see at a movie theater are way worse than other businesses(theme parks & arena events come to mind) who also have a tendency to raise prices. I can't even come up with a good guess as to the profit margin at a theater on things like pop and popcorn.
  13. I am sick of the Geico commercials. They flat out suck. Their advertising firm should be canned.
  14. Until a couple of days ago, I had never heard of Lindsey Vonn. Is it really necessary to see an article on Yahoo's front page titled "5 things to know about Lindsey Vonn's husband"? For those without a life... Let be the first to say...Who ****ing cares! :wallbash:
  15. I know its all about supply and demand, but it is ridiculous how much the airlines jack up their fares in winter when the kids are off from school? If you are trying to fly out of Buffalo to someplace warm this week(Sat - Sat) it is sticker shock. :censored:
  16. If a cashier tries to pull that on me, they better be prepared to open the drawer back up, because I'm not budging and it has nothing to do with it just being a penny.
  17. I want to be a weather forecaster. How nice is it to have a job that you can just blame a change in wind direction on, every time you ###### up! Sorry for the filter. I was using the word for what one poster here would like to do to Barbara Walters.
  18. Tenants in SUBSIDIZED housing(Marine Drive Apartments) on PRIME WATERFRONT property have retained an attorney because they object to the placement of a parking ramp(partially for their use no less) adjacent to the apartment towers. Attorney Joseph G. Makowski said his clients, Marine Drive residents, continued to oppose the placement of a parking ramp by their complex. He said Empire State Development Corp. prepared a supplemental environmental impact statement, as requested, but found it to be “the same bureaucratic double talk.” http://www.buffalonews.com/cityregion/buffaloerie/story/936555.html Anything else we can do for you as long as you have some complaints to be addressed?
