Ask yourself how many of these teams would be on Miller's "approved list"(I am assuming he has a limited move clause in his contract).

The reason why I am asking is that if both want out no matter what the offer, the sabres can push hard to trade them on draft weekend.

Can the Sabrea negotiate with Vanek & Miller prior to July 5th or whatever day it is, just no contract signings?

I guess it all depends on how well he has managed his money. I would think Connolly would get at least $1mil per season even in the leagues in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, or Finland, but I could be way off.

After dicking around with Verizon for over a week, they finally have my landline working again(was a problem with the wire coming out of the ground as it goes into the basement(probably because I hit it with the weedwacker one too many times :ph34r: ). He did absolutely nothing in the AHL this season except for collecting his 4.75mil NHL salary. Where does he go next? IMO he could make a very nice living over in Europe for the next 5-7 years(where his game would probably translate nicely), but I get the feeling he just packs it in.

I can't see them burning up a AHL vet slot on both Ellis and McCormick. One of them has to be replaced with an AHL vet who can score.

I am 100% opposed to moving up. Do you have draft grades that show Barkov is head and shoulders above Lindholm or your boy Monahan? Even to move up from 8 to 4 is going to be costly, and for a team that is lacking in top 6 forwards throughout the organization, I don't want to give up picks to make a move of this nature.
