  1. Great question for the GM.
  2. Well they lost Finley, they lose Brennan to waivers, and don't bring back Leopold and Regehr, DR can justify picking 5 more defenseman in this years draft.

One "Chara" moment into his 4th season. If that is how often that side of Myers is going to come out, it is not even worth mentioning.
  4. Yes!!!! Let Brennan & Weber get nice and rusty, so when you finally put them in a game and they suck, you can send them right back to the press box the following game. Scott is bringing so much to the table, there is no way they can possibly remove him from the lineup. Same goes for any of the blueliners who sucked as a group last night. Coach for Life strikes again.
  5. I had no idea he was that bad. If he blows up a few more times, maybe give Leggio a shot. That being said, I have no idea if Leggio has skills to be an NHL backup playing 10-20 games a year.

As I have stated since Myers rookie season, either a player has it in him(willingness) to be physical or they don't. Myers didn't have it then, he doesn't have it now, and if I was a betting man, what you see now, is what you will see the rest of his career. There were 3 possible player types Myers would become or he could have become a combination of all 3. 1 - Physical punishing defenseman...NOT HAPPENING EVER. 2- Gifted offensive defenseman...Showed great signs of this in his rookie year, and has regressed each of the subsequent seasons in this regard 3 - Solid defensive defenseman...4 years into his career, and he is below average more often than not in this regard.
  7. Anyone else noticed Grigs saw very little ice time in the 2nd period? What better way to evaluate a player on a 5 game tryout than to bench him 7 periods into it. Coach for life! :wallbash:

I could see if he was focused on being better defensively, and it is costing him some offense, but his defense stinks, he seems like he is skating in mud, and there is no offense at all. Not sure, but was he even on the PP tonight?

I need a solid Marfan rant before I go to bed. Paging GoDD. :D
  10. We're here for you. Time for a group hug, and then get a good nights sleep! You'll still be pissed in the morning, but not nearly as angry as you are now! Can we put Quinn back in charge just for a day, so I can use him as a punching bag?
  11. I only have one thing to say...sit Scott and whatever defenseman Lindy views as hurting the team the most, and dress Weber and Brennan.

There's only a week left for his supporters to say this..."He's only 22!" Then they will switch to "He's only 23!" That being said, Myers looks all screwed up. Bad defense, little to no offense. I think a case can be made that he has regressed each season. All of a sudden, that $10 million dollar bonus looks ridiculous. Hopefully he snaps out of it.
  13. Anyone else have coworkers that think they are underpaid, and everyone else in the department is vastly overpaid? Some people just don't realize how good they have it. I'm sure I have complained about this before, but said coworker raised this issue once again today. Why always on Thursday?
  14. Chatting with the GM about the team is one thing. If it turns out that he is dictating player moves, it's a whole different story.
  15. Something wrong with a little tongue in cheek humor(coach for life)? I have plenty of things to get angry with in life. The Sabres aren't one of them.
  16. The "suits" that are filling the ACC are not the same fans who are attending games at the FNC.
  17. I always ripped on Jim Lorentz for being boring and stating the obvious, but after several years of listening to the stylings of Harry Neale, I'd kill to have him back right about now.
  18. I agree. Never underestimate Sylvester's brown nosing talent. We have "GM for life" & "Coach for life", why not "Annoying broadcast personality for life"?
  19. My biggest surprise is how little the puck has been on his stick in any zone for a guy playing center. I am not sure if it just nerves at this point, but as others have pointed out, if they send Grigs down, the center depth if the event of injuries is frightening.
  20. Disclaimer...I know it's only been two games. I know "coach for life" is not to be criticized, but am I the only one who thinks that giving Grigs a little PP time might help with his offensive confidence?
  21. Found it thx. Same here in Buffalo. Never even checked that high.
  22. I was watching the Stars vs. Wild game for all of 5 minutes before I saw Roy fall to the ice. Don't miss him one bit.
