While it would have been nice to see Ruff win a Cup here in Buffalo, I'll be selfish, and say that I just want to see a Stanley Cup parade in my lifetime, and I don't care who the players or coaches are when it finally happens. The same could be said(wanting to see them hoist a Cup in Buffalo) for Perreault, Hasek, LaFontaine, Foligno, Punch, Schoenfeld, Ramsay, Ramsey, etc.. We can only hope that Pegs finally has this organization heading in the right direction.

I am very interested to see what moves the Sabres make between now and the deadline. If there is little to no activity leading up to the deadline other than something like Leopold for a pick, I would guess that DR, along with the entire coaching staff may be sent packing in the offseason. This is assuming that the Sabres continue along at a pace that would have them on the outside looking in, and even if they make a run for 8th, DR's hands may still be tied. If it means the remainder of the dynamic duo is gone come April, I am completely okay with this strategy.

As a 10 year old, I was convinced that Trottier would somehow end up a Sabre, and become a great NHL player. Little did I know. PS I'm feeling old. Trottier will turn 72 in April.

While I am happy that they are finally changing coaches, it was a very classy act on Ruff's part to drive to the airport to say his goodbyes to the players before they left for Toronto.

While McCormick is not anything more than a 4th liner, he is miles ahead of where Scott is or ever will be as a hockey player. Did Cody kick you dog or steal your girlfriend? :rolleyes:

No to Nolan and no f***ing way to Housley. I'm telling you(IMO) it will be Patrick for the rest of the season, and then open season on the entire hockey department once it is painfully over.

I'd be shocked if it was Rolston, even on an interim basis.

All the Lindy news, and I didn't even see this. I'd waive Scott every time instead of McCormick. The days of the enforcer are over. If you need double runners, you shouldn't be in the NHL. Unless there is something going on behind the scenes, I don't get it. A team with few guys willing to finish a check, and they just send one of them packing.

Do you know what "interim" means? Trying to find a permanent coach in mid-season may really hamper their ability to find the right choice. Patrick for the rest of the season? Who cares.

1 - I'm shocked that "Coach for Life" is gone 2 - I'm glad this is the last time I will have to use the phrase "Coach for Life" 3 - I expect Patrick to be named interim coach 4 - I would not be surprised if the Sabres show Regier the door if they miss the playoffs. I'll be honest...I haven't seen Leggio play at all. That being said... 1- His number over the last month seem to be a lot better than your borderline AHL goalie 2 - Can he really be that much worst than Enroth at this point The reason I bring this up is that Lindy is once again heading down the road of running Miller into the ground.
