I wonder how much ST & box office prices have gone up in the last 5-6 years? After 12 years of crap, fans need more than “look at all our prospects”.
Only winning will bring the fans back in numbers.

Rochester has a good coach and player development process. Starting off in Rochester will not make him a lesser player, it will make him a better player.
What does this have to do with Johnson getting PP time with the Amerks? 🤔

He can’t do the above, and be on one of the PP units? We will agree to disagree.

This makes absolutely ZERO sense to me. If Johnson is the best option to be on the PP for the Amerks, then put him out there.

I would think that Amerks training camps starts Sunday or Monday. At that point, the players left in Sabres camp is whittled down to 30 or so.

I know he has no future as an NHL’er, but in one 15 sec span in his own zone in the 2nd period, Weissbach was in spitting distance of the puck carrier 3 times, and each time made no attempt to play the body or puck.
If I was the HC, I’m leaving him behind. 😂

We’ll be quick about this: Thompson, for all his offensive gifts, could be one of the least effective defensive players in the league. Like, bottom five. Sixth from the basement, specifically. One team analyst compared his play to the legendary Alex Ovechkin/disconnected Xbox controllerGIF.
Thompson’s overall projected Defensive Rating is, in fact, below 38-year-old Ovechkin’s. It’s below Patrick Kane’s. It’s also too close to too many of his teammates’ — Skinner, JJ Peterka, Cozens and Henri Jokiharju are all in the bottom 30 as well, among waves of Anaheim Ducks and Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets. For a team with playoff aspirations, that’s a terrible sign. Granato is a good coach who seems to be facing a clear challenge: getting his team to tighten up in one end, at least a little, without sacrificing its identity. Given their other year-over-year improvements, it’s possible. It’s also necessary, especially in an Atlantic Division featuring a couple of other on-the-rise teams.

I often wonder why during the preseason, that the coaches don’t try and field comparable rosters that would provide for better player evaluations.

I was really hoping for a discounted season rate if signing up between now and the start of the season, but alas, does not seem to be in the cards.
I guess that means another year of Spectrum for this WNY’er, instead of a switch to YTTV. 😞
