I am indeed implying that. People have noted that he is significantly slower this year than the preceding years. IMO, it's the only thing that explains why his play has dropped off a cliff.

IMO, the only reasonable conclusion is that he is physically hampered. He's been amazing at every level prior to the NHL & has demonstrated MUCH better play than this already at the NHL level (including in his rookie year). Play doesn't just drop off this precipitously. Cozens has regressed, but what Quinn is outputting goes beyond just simple regression.

It feels like the only time that they start to really play is when they have their backs up against the wall and are feeling the pressure from the fans/media. Went on a 3 game streak after starting the season so poorly. Went on another after they lost 3 straight. Both streaks just as the tides were turning against the team and the pressure was ratcheting up. Clearly we need to start criticizing them even more

Kozak can score too. He got promoted to the top line this year. Before he was injured this year he was leading them in goals. He had a hot camp a few years ago and scored a bunch in preseason Hes gotten in a bunch of fights too. Penalty killer. Hes the sort that you like to see succeed.

He's a huge difference maker at the ahl level. Amerks will be so much better with him then sandstrom

Who is he coming in for?

The unfortunate thing is I'm not sure he has much more to learn in Rochester. He succeeded last year with the amerks with flying colors. His save % was like 930ish if i recall correctly. Let's hope the coaching staff down there can challenge him creatively in a way that will better prepare for the next opportunity with the big club... whenever it ends up coming. Maybe he just needs to get his confidence back again. I don't know.
