  1. My memory is he played a lot with EJ. Imo, that makes his season even that much more impressive in light of the fact that EJ was so atrocious. He wasn't flashy (aside from that one stretch pass in his debut. To skinner i think?), but he seemed extremely effective for a rookie
  2. JJP exceeded my expectations for this season. I knew he was going to be good eventually, but I didn't realize it would be this soon. They really knocked it out of the park with those first two picks of the 2020 draft. Two players that will likely be 30+ goal scorers (and they aren't just goal scorers, they both bring other traits to the table!).
  3. Who is this Lindy Ruff guy? Never heard of the man. KA, get us someone with some name recognition at least. ffs
  4. The comments to me about the new coach are kind of revealing. To me, it seems that they are actually being the opposite of accountable by blaming Donnie indirectly by talking about needing accountability and needing to be pushed harder by the coach. This, in essence, is blaming it on the coach and not actually holding yourself accountable.
  5. Wife is going to this game. If anyone sees a bunch of drunk nurses, tell her I said hi
  6. Krebs is a capable 4th line center. But if you're looking to retool your bottom 6, i would imagine that you have to move on from Krebsy if you get the chance
  7. first impressions are everything. he had a really slow start but has actually been sneaky good since
  8. I'm not going to fault Terry for being an absentee owner right now. I would imagine a majority of his day to day attention is on Kim still. Plus the Bills are the cash cow, so I would imagine a majority of his remaining attention is on them. That's not even getting into his other business interests & family obligations. That's a lot to handle for a guy that is 70 something. What I will fault him for is that he has struggled pretty badly to find the right people to lead the team - both coach and GM. You gotta get those hires right if you are going to essentially ignore the Sabres. When it isn't right, you need to be willing to step in and turn the page and I'm not sure he will do that. As to the question, they are definitely bottom 5 right now.
  9. Well, it's certainly never too early to hand out an 8 year contract if you're KA
  10. I don't think I dislike anyone on the team. I don't really know them well enough to dislike them. However, players that I am disappointed with is a rather long list. That list is almost the length of the entire team
  11. RIT games are a lot of fun. I've went to a few and the atmosphere is just spectacular. The student section & band with all their cheers just makes it for me. Glad to hear they won
  12. Is demko out? I think he is? I feel like we have a shot without him
  13. Is this the thread where I get to finally unload all my lebowski gifs?
  14. I'm so confused. Did I miss something with Levi? Did he do something awful that I never heard about? Pulling Levi up is the only sensible thing to do with the back to back. You can't have comrie playing. He is 1-7 this year with a .86 save percentage. 🤮
  15. You might be right, I might be overvaluing Mitts and/or undervaluing Byram. But my point is that if he wasn't "shopping" Mitts like he said he wasn't, he would never know whether he was getting appropriate value. And if he was "shopping" Mitts, then he certainly didn't wait long enough for other teams to try to outbid the Avs. If the Avs gave him an ultimatum, he absolutely should have been "shopping" him the whole time.
  16. I'm not a fan of the trade. I don't think they got appropriate value for a player that is currently playing extremely well at a premium position, is young, and still has rfa years. KA has repeatedly said he "isn't shopping" Mitts.. as recently as that interview with Fairburn in the Atlantic (it was the day of the game vs. VGK). KA, for the most part, seems like a pretty straight shooter. I don't recall him ever misleading the media intentionally. If he had an offer from the Avalanche that he was willing to accept, he absolutely should have been shopping Mitts to find out if that is the best deal he could get for him. If he did "shop" Mitts in the meantime to all the other teams, he really should be waiting until closer to the trade deadline to let other teams try to outbid the Avs or for the Avs to feel the heat and offer more. IMO, either way you look at it.. he kind of screwed the pooch. side note: screwed the pooch is an odd phrase, never really thought about that one in a literal sense.
