Rosen has never been worth much as a trade chip. He has developed slowly but steadily, which really doesn't amount to excitement/trade value. If he is actually breaking out this year (tbd), I would argue that management actually played this right by never moving him. Chances are if they traded him... they would have gotten back a similar poorly performing prospect that wouldn't have amounted to much. Or he would've just been a throw in for a larger trade.

so neither player changed. norris still gets injured and cozens still isn't great

when it rains it pours.. apparently

it's certainly trending that way, but we have a lot of injured guys. if they can stay in it until they start getting guys coming back... i could see them maybe putting together a streak. the biggest question was goaltending this year and it would seem that lyon is a viable solution for this year, so i'm not writing us off until they continue failing once most of their dudes are back (aside from norris). the slow start after the injuries definitely says something about their ability to handle adversity though.

Glad to see they went back to the tried and true combination of Tuch/Thompson with all the injuries. No Norris and no Benson.. just go back to what worked in the past. I would've really liked to see them bring up someone from Rochester that can carry/pass/shoot. Östlund or Rosen to give them a shot at actually having offense this game. At least there is no Geertsen in that lineup... but still way too many grinders & not enough offense We have a kid at the same age. In the event that I actually want to watch something on tv (seldom), we just hand the kid the tablet so we don't even have to fight that fight. We give him the tablet so infrequently that it's usually a special treat when he does get it

go sabres. season isn't over.. we are just two games in. big win here vs a good team would do a lot to help turn this around before it really spirals.

True to a certain extent. But KA implies he willingly accepts the position. He didn't have to sign here again knowing what his role would be... it's like he's comfortable sitting. That, to me at least, suggests a lack of fire

Good to know! I just assumed he wasn't leadership material based on KA's insistence that he is fine with sitting for stretches.
