  1. RIT games are a lot of fun. I've went to a few and the atmosphere is just spectacular. The student section & band with all their cheers just makes it for me. Glad to hear they won
  2. Is demko out? I think he is? I feel like we have a shot without him
  3. Is this the thread where I get to finally unload all my lebowski gifs?
  4. I'm so confused. Did I miss something with Levi? Did he do something awful that I never heard about? Pulling Levi up is the only sensible thing to do with the back to back. You can't have comrie playing. He is 1-7 this year with a .86 save percentage. 🤮
  5. You might be right, I might be overvaluing Mitts and/or undervaluing Byram. But my point is that if he wasn't "shopping" Mitts like he said he wasn't, he would never know whether he was getting appropriate value. And if he was "shopping" Mitts, then he certainly didn't wait long enough for other teams to try to outbid the Avs. If the Avs gave him an ultimatum, he absolutely should have been "shopping" him the whole time.
  6. I'm not a fan of the trade. I don't think they got appropriate value for a player that is currently playing extremely well at a premium position, is young, and still has rfa years. KA has repeatedly said he "isn't shopping" Mitts.. as recently as that interview with Fairburn in the Atlantic (it was the day of the game vs. VGK). KA, for the most part, seems like a pretty straight shooter. I don't recall him ever misleading the media intentionally. If he had an offer from the Avalanche that he was willing to accept, he absolutely should have been shopping Mitts to find out if that is the best deal he could get for him. If he did "shop" Mitts in the meantime to all the other teams, he really should be waiting until closer to the trade deadline to let other teams try to outbid the Avs or for the Avs to feel the heat and offer more. IMO, either way you look at it.. he kind of screwed the pooch. side note: screwed the pooch is an odd phrase, never really thought about that one in a literal sense.
  7. I feel like we have a decent chance if the offense shows up. Feels really funny to say that about a team that scored as many goals as it did last year and made no changes at forward
  8. Levi standing on his head again for the Amerks.. 37sog 1 goal. Game is tied 1-1 heading into OT. My favorite part of the video is the Bears celebrating thinking they scored 🤣
  9. You got me. I checked the link to see if this actually was in the ap news article 🤣
  10. For the record - the 8 ball is in relation to the questions. I will tune in like the sucker that I am
  11. I enjoy this bit you're doing
  12. I don't think that I dislike them. My feelings toward this team and the rest of the season are of apathy. I'll get excited again next year, but the remainder of this season is just about building towards next year.
  13. They need a shake up. Ship out at least one of the core forwards so that they realize that this is a business and not fun and games. Send their buddy packing so that maybe they can find the motivation to stop giving up 2 goals in the first period every game. They need to have their feathers ruffled or this group, as constructed, will never be sufficiently motivated to succeed.
  14. I think he's going to be good, but that quote sure doesn't make him sound very coachable...
  15. nice little document projecting cap hits for the upcoming free agent class: check out how much your favorite potential acquisition is going to cost terry. also, the current crop of sabres FA's: Mitts: 5 years $5.9 mil UPL: 1 year $1.7 mil Joki: 3 years $4.3 mil Girgs: 2 years $1.7 mil Krebs: 2 years $2.5 mil
  16. If they are choosing based on recent play, Rosen/Kulich might not be the choice. Both have gone on a bit of a cold streak relative to how they started.
