AAAANNNYYYYWAY, the Amerks are home tonight against the WB Scranton Penguins. Rochester comes into tonight having won three straight and 10 of their last 12, and the Amerks maintain a three-point lead on Laval and Hershey atop the AHL's standings with 70 points through 51 games. Also, the Pens are good. They’ve got 63 points through 48 games and only four points behind Hershey for first place in the Atlantic.

Some folks don’t like the same handedness of Dahlin, Power, and Byram, and I get that. It might not be a perfect way to structure a blue line. But Byram & Dahls were excellent together tonight. I want to see them continue to play as a pair.

Absolutely not. He’s a big body who can stand his ground around the net against 20 year olds, but he doesn’t hit & he absolutely cannot keep up in the NHL. He is AHL captain material though.

Adin Hill is my best guess. His stats are pretty average…his career save percentage is .908. For reference, UPL is .902. And LV has a far better overall team.

The Amerks were gassed. They played Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and today Sunday (today against the best record in the AHL). The Amerks opponent tonight, Laval, hadn’t played since last Sunday and were waiting for the Amerks in ROC for today’s game while the Amerks bussed home from Utica after last night’s game. The schedule didn’t do Rochester any favors today.

When you say “them,” you may be referring to the players. Flash is talking about everyday Canadians going to NHL games and they are booing the American national anthem in Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Ottawa. This is directly attributed to the political climate.

With baseball season around the corner, here is what Cleveland is doing with their broadcasts. If the Sabres did this, I would pay it. It would be like a buck a game.

Leone also called out RyJo & Komarov on Sabres Live today. Said they’ve been playing hard minutes and excelled. He was complimentary of Metsa of his effort and defending as a smaller guy. He was also saying Levi has impressed in getting whistles during chaos and working very hard. We know Levi may have outgrown AHL competition, but he’s excelling instead of stagnating. You love to see it.

I’m addicted to this franchise. I was playing a game with the family tonight called Loaded Questions. The question was what is the one thing you would wish for in this lifetime? My wife went first and said health and happiness for all of her family and friends. I said one Sabres Stanley Cup win before I die. And I meant it.

When I was filled with hopium two years ago, I said that both teams could still win that trade even though Vegas won the Cup. I was wrong.

The Amerks are a wagon. Aube-Kubel with two tonight, Murray (21) and Rosen (24) also scored, and they’ve pushed their winning streak to six. Levi excellent tonight as well in the 5-1 win against third place Cleveland. They’re at 29-12-3-1 on the year, which is the second best record in the league. I’m saving my pennies to follow their playoff run in the spring instead of going to Sabres games for the rest of the year.
