Said during the off season they needed 2 centers. I now think they could have gotten by with 1 center and a top 6 power forward. Lindy is doing better than I expected but don’t still don’t think they’ll make the playoffs.

Was at my daughter’s house and they had the sound low so I couldn’t hear. I assumed with all the replays that the Bears had no timeouts and they were dumping on the QB for taking so long. Seems Bears coach though so too.

Is Benson a kinder version of Ken Linesman?

Only down by 1 after 2 lethargic periods. Start the 3rd with your 4th line and tell them to hit everything that moves. We need a spark.

Two hard clean hits by the Ducks - glad Benson and Clifton did not end up on IR after their scraps. Our past reputation has been to fold like a cheap lawn chair after hits like that so expect to see more of them. Regardless of the fights we haven’t been backing down from a heavy game so it’s major growth. Would like see more of the heavy hits coming from our new bigger, faster 4th line.

Cozens seems to be a Lindy guy and doubt he’s going anywhere. His scoring is lagging the improvement the rest of his game has taken since the season started but I believe it will come along. Rossi came in with a solid physical build but once Cozens builds his strength I think his upside is very high. I always thought it was tough to judge Rossi because he was a man against boys.

Fell asleep after the goal. Excellent PK. Zone entries remain a major issue - especially noticeable on the PP. I have a much better feeling with Power, Byram and Dahlin skating with the puck than any of our forwards.

I read of the 4 major sports, hockey gets the highest % of its total revenue from butts in seats. Somewhere around 45%. That doesn’t bode well for KA. It’s not just wins and losses; it’s the style of play as well that doesn’t interest fans.

If they’ve been vetting and grooming then it wasn’t an “open” competition. He may be the correct choice but this smells like a PR move. What’s he had a practice or 2 under Lindy? Certainly this came from above Lindy. Having lived through good and bad leadership for 40 years at a Fortune 50 company I feel I have a solid understanding of leadership and it’s often not your shiniest resume that is the best fit. It’s what does a specific group most need to motivate and maximize everyone’s talent. Could be warm fuzzies or could be a kick in the a$$. When you have a young core that’s never won anything you might want to let it play out.

I’ve thought all along it was foolish to give anyone the C prior to a season with a new coach and new system. Would do more harm than good to change at this point. They didn’t learn a thing by giving a too young Jack the C and hoping he’d grow into it.

Win or lose we’re seeing some excellent hustle out there. Much improved and loving what they’re bringing here in the third.

Have to admit that was pretty. Movement with a purpose.

I’ll continue to watch - every solid win makes you think maybe they’re getting it, and every loss like last night gives you hope they realize it just might be team construction. So far KA’s focus on the 4th line doesn’t seem to have the impact maybe he thought it would. Not a big surprise since it wasn’t what held us back last year.
