I think Graves is the best fit OA. I know he is a lefty but he just checks so many boxes. Big, physical, strong defensively and on the PK. Has excelled on two high tempo transition teams (Avs, Devils) If he is not looking for Severson term then throw a pick at the Devils for his rights and lock him up.

My dad found the 2017 Hockey News draft preview at his place and gave it to me last night. Looking through it I was blown away by how many guys just never make it at all and how bad the rankings look 5-6 years later. They had Mitts 4th and Makar 5th. And nolan Patrick has to be one of the big draft busts of all time. Injuries just shredded his career. Just hope your scouts are good at their jobs. The last couple drafts are looking promising for Buffalo.

Does anyone know what Andrew Peeke’s metrics were like. I know his +/- was bad. You have to think he will be on the block if Jiricek is ready to go there.

Is Will Borgen ready for a #4 role? Had a very good year in Seattle. He is the type of dman that would pair well with Power. Size, skating, defensively aware. Kind of like the Muel to Dahlin. Just another option to look at. I don’t know what you were watching but in no World was Boosh a downgrade to Hagg.

I would trade for a legit top 4 D man and then trade for Freddie Andersen’s rights and sign him before free agency for a couple years if Carolina isn’t going to keep him.

You’d have to have an extension in place for Hanifin. He would really round out the top 4.

LeBrun reports that Hellebuyck has informed the Jets that he will not sign any extension in Winnipeg and doesn’t want to play in Canada. He will be moved. Would I trade Levi for him? No He is 30 and will want a big $ extension. I would rent him for a season if the deal was fair to pair him with Levi for a season and get a good playoff run.

Benson is a wildcard for me in the top 10. Like Savoie he could drop because of his size but the talent is world class. I can’t see him making it to 13. He is from BC and if he makes it to 11 Canucks should be running to the podium. But stranger things have happened. Adams likes his family connections so I would imagine Perrault is an option for sure as well as MaCarthy later in the draft.

Good to know Adams is actively looking to improve our two biggest needs. Wish LeBrun mentioned a couple of the dmen Adams has been looking into.

#13, UPL, Östlund/Rosen would be where I would go. Saros is that good and sets them up for two very good playoff runs.

To me Saros is the perfect target for them. Consistently one of the best goalies in hockey, plays a style very similar to Levi so can help mentor him and has 2 years left on his deal. I would give up 13oa, UPL and a lesser prospect for him. Saros/Levi for 2 years would be fantastic.

On another board someone proposed a JJ Peterka for Evan Bouchard deal. A lot of posters said no they feel Peterka’s upside is too high. Others said no because Bouchard is an offensive dman and will want too much as a number 3-4.

I think SJ, Habs, Caps And Wings are all teams that will be looking at Michkov Hughes just said he wants to draft the best player available. Maybe he falls out of the top 10 but I would be shocked.

I’m not a huge fan. 9 years in the NHL and this was his only season as a + player. Many years at -25, -27, -30. Makes a ton of boneheaded plays. I don’t think he’s horrible but 8 years at the price they will definitely have buyers remorse.
