Flames are mentioned as involved and can make his salary work. If Flames offered Zary, Matthew “The Bison” Coronoto, Pelletier and a 1st that might get it done. Zary isn’t a sexy name but he has put up big numbers in Kamloops and Stockton for his age. I don’t think Monahan fits here and Flames aren’t moving Mangiapane and his 7 goals. Anderson vs Elliott has to be one of the oldest combined goalie aged matchups in a while. They have both been around forever. Nice to finally see Elliott falter against the Sabres.

Who had Tage Thompson, two way Centre with 4 points in 6 games and a +2 in the pool? Developing a 6’7 two way RHC out of nothing might guarantee Donny the Jack Adams Trophy.😆

Bend but not break against the 2 time Cup Champs. It’s not the wins and losses it is that they have been in every game with no Eichel, Mitts or Joker in the lineup. Granato and his staff has a system that utilizes the talent they do have, he has everybody believing they can compete every night and no one looks confused out there, they all know their assignments. The goaltending hasn’t let them down at all which is such a nice change from years past. They work hard every game. I enjoy watching Sabres games again. All my buddies are Leafs fans. I still have no idea what Pronman has done or what qualifications he has to be in the position he is. The size thing is an NHL scouting thing. Big players will always get more preference then the smaller player. The small p,Ayer better have 1 elite quality. Size is the big player’s elite quality. I mean goaltending has gone gigantic. If you aren’t 6’2 you are lucky if they even look at you.

Lundell is very good. He was the most pro ready of the draft group. I think Rossi, Jarvis and Quinn will be very good too. Quinn and Peterka seem to have great chemistry so far. If they turn into top 6 bookends then that is a successful draft.

What are you basing “fine” on? Why not good, why not great? He is playing injury free finally and tearing up the AHL early.

Quinn is looking like the 50 goal OHL Ottawa player again. He has the quick smooth release that looks so sweet. Please don’t rush him and JJ up. Let them develop and continue to grow their chemistry.

The Sabres doctors won’t approve it. Jack and his team are scrambling trying to find doctors to approve it for his situation to present to the Sabres. The reporting has been that a lot of the NHL teams and their medical staff aren’t comfortable with it. your argument is that Sabres will lose goodwill over this when they are relying on medical opinions which think Jack’s option is dangerous. They are looking out for what is best for their player.

So the Sabres asking their player to get the safe, doctor approved surgery instead of the more dangerous, non doctor approved surgery is going to cost them goodwill with players? If my kids want to play in the middle of the street my consideration isn’t whether other kids will think I’m cool or not when I tell my children to get out of the street for their safety. This falls on Jack. If he would have gotten the fusion surgery back when this began he would be back and this mess never would have happened.
