SUCK IT CHIEFS!! Feel Our Painš

Potential Sabres deadline moves(sellers)ā¦

A healthy Anderson would be the best trade chip by far. Teams will be freaked out about goalie depth this season. A vet playoff goalie playing well with a minimum salary would be gold for some playoff contenders. -
Yes and we have our quota of Russian wingers. Especially with Nemec, Jiricek and a couple forwards I would prefer still on the board.

http://www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/ I think I would throw up if this was our first round.š¤¢

Give me a healthy Anderson, healthy Mitts, Samuelson in the lineup and large doses of Tuch and Krebs and I guarantee the second half will be MUCH better then the first half.

Is this the Devon Levi thread or the The Rehash the same stupid arguments from 6 years ago thread? Have a feeling Levi is going to take the Power at the WHC last year route. Start as depth but be the go to guy by the end.

I get the feeling that Toker is not ready to go. I think it is a pressed into action in an emergency situation type thing. -
Agreed. I just want to see him get a legit shot before they spend a top pick on a wr. With the way the team is set up I think an O Lineman, CB or LB would be a better use of the top picks.

If only they had a burner on the roster that they drafted out of Houston last year who was a big play yac guy and needed a chance to play.

https://www.tsn.ca/craig-button-connor-bedard-2023-nhl-draft-1.1751659 Buttonās first ranking for 2023 draft. Top of the draft is special. People sleeping on Ritchie in Oshawa.

I would like to see them try to get Marquez Stevenson involved more next year. He was a big play YAC type player in college.
-
Why are the American Olympians still playing? Portillo is very good. He is not a product of being on a stacked team. As others have mentioned, Michigan doesnāt shut it down defensively. Portillo often bails them out. Earlier in the season he would get himself out of position but he has cleaned that up. When all the Olympians are gone it will be interesting how he plays. I donāt think any team has 3 goalie prospects that compare to UPL, Levi and Portillo.

Frank Nazar seems to be the sexy āItā prospect of the moment.
-
It wonāt matter who is in net until they start tightening up defensively and allowing less shots per game.
-
Denver hire Packers OC Hackett as coach. A lot of smoke that Rodgers and Adams might follow him there. Are we looking at Daboll to Miami and Frazier to the Giants? Wouldnāt bother me at all.

āBY GAWD THATāS MAT ROBSONāS THEME MUSIC AND HEāS HEADING STRAIGHT TO THE SABRES GOAL CREASE!!!!!!āš Goalie#7 come on down. A seriously stupid play by a bad goalie. What is with this with him? He ran out to hit some guy against the boards another game. Itās like he has given up on the stopping the puck part of the position and wants to be a thumper. Good riddance when he is gone.

1st round picks and top prospects usually donāt get moved to third teams. It is usually 2nd or 3rd round picks for taking on salary. Agree with your idea though. -
Please suspend him for the season Please suspend him for the season Please suspend him for the seasonš

Can Jacksonville give us their Josh Allen?š The Bills are pretty deep. What position does everyone think needs to be upgraded to take the next step? I think they need to decide about Edmunds. Do you commit big dollars to him or move on and draft or sign an impact linebacker. The O Line came together which helped the run game. Do they add another impact O Lineman in the first couple rounds or a big run blocker on the d line? I think they are in pretty good shape at the skill positions with Davis and Knox developing and a young burner like Stevenson waiting in the wings. Do they want to replace Moss with a bigger more physical back. It will be an interesting offseason.

Sorry, I wasnāt asking for a numerical deep dive, just your opinion. Buffalo Teppo was so calm and smart and efficient. Winnipeg Teppo was all that but also had more offensive side in his younger days. I was asking if that is a good comparison for Nemecās game as I havenāt watched him very much.

How would you compare Nemec to Teppo? Not just mid 30s Sabres Teppo but younger Jets Teppo that was also more offensively inclined. If Nemec compares favourably to that Teppo then he would be a huge get for this backend.

I think you touched on parts of this but as a whole a big one is: ā¢positioning Knowing where to be in the defensive zone is so important to playing d. Not running around getting out of position, how to cut down offensive chances by being in the right spot, being able to close players off, direct them towards the boards or corners. Getting in passing lanes. It is what made players like Teppo so effective. When Trotz and Lambert went to the Isles they were shocked how out of position the players were in the defensive zone. That was their biggest job to teach. Part of it can be taught and implemented through defensive systems but it is a big skill for those dmen that innately can position themselves properly.

The problem is that if they donāt get the 2 point conversion they are up by two and the field goal beats them in regulation.
