  1. He needs Josh! Josh and Mr. Bill.
  2. I had a dream. Bill Belichick is fired. Buffalo signed him and lets him run the football operations.
  3. Diggs melt downs, obviously now, that there is a problem in One Bills Drive.
  4. I had a thought: why call timeout? Force the Broncos to run on the field and kick it in a hurry? They didn't have any timeouts and we didn't need to watch another interception. and that hail mary toss in the first half, I thought it was meant to be.
  5. At least I can watch a better coach team here locally - The Lions. OMG, what is the world coming to???
  6. An exhibition on coaching. Someone got schooled at the end and most of the game. I will give myself 13 seconds to get over it, look for a Music City miracle, and then head wide right.
  7. I think people have memories - like the last 12 years. With the current pace, the Sabres end up with 82 points. To hit 100 need to average 1.26 points per game the rest of the way. 3 points behind the goal.
  8. Like Mitts and Tage. If only they had 4 minutes to prove themselves.
  9. Good idea. After carefully reviewing all the players, sitting down with the coaching staff in the preseason, going through the schedule, and designing a lineup that best matches up against the opponent. Then, as the season progresses, barring injuries, play your hot players more. It's easier than keeping the best players and then game planning vs your opponent based on the type of talent on hand.
  10. Then the question remains, why are Okposo, VO, Greenway (who they traded for) ,and Girgensons still on the team - high skill?
  11. I see your point, but in the past 12 years no playoffs. Pick a way you want to play and design your players and lines that way. You want to score, get speed, and stick talent. If you want balance then adjust the lines that way. Make a decision and live with it. Seems like both Buffalo franchises are lacking a direction. Ask yourself, when you play a Buffalo NHL or NFL team, what do you expect to see? A lot of times - it is "I don't know". Wonder what is common between them....
  12. It is kind of scary with all the comments from the GM and coaches that they don't know the problem with the offense. Hurry up vs slow down? It gives the appearance that they do not know what they are doing and don't have a plan. Someone from SB Nation broke down the plays from the last game, and G Davis was open in most of his pass patterns. From that detail and breakdown, why isn't Josh seeing this? Does he have a progression of reads? Are they nervous about interceptions? It makes you wonder how the offensive game plays and plans are designed. Where are the coaches if a sports writer can see this from film? Is the staff at 1 Bills Drive playing possum? Do they have a talent problem? It doesn't appear to be if receivers are open and the quarterback can make every throw. What about the run game and how to implement a plan that includes running the ball at different times and enough times for a running back to get in a rhythm? How about using the short passing game as a running play? Why can't you look at the tapes of when you were successful in the first half of games? What did you do? What sequence of plays? What was the defense giving you? Does the staff lack flexibility? Did they decide at the beginning of the year this is our plan (to turn the offense into poop) and we are not modifying it no matter what! It is not rocket science, but they are making it seem that way.
  13. If VO is holding the "third line" from getting minutes - then don't play him. 6-9 minutes doesn't cut it. Roll the four lines.
  14. I don't think they are learning much on defense in Rochester. Leading the AHL in goals scored 43 and goals against 46. Weissbach, Novikov, Clague, Mersch, Johnson, Kulich, Rosen are your plus minus leaders.
  15. I hate to say it, but the Bills could be out of the playoffs before the bye week.
  16. Bills need to do a better job of mixing in more run plays when in the no-huddle. It's good to see the youngsters playing well on defense. It's good to see different receivers getting involved. Time management/calling time-outs still seems to be an issue with the coaching staff. I saw Diggs slacking on several plays, not even moving off the line when he wasn't involved in the play - I wouldn't say I like that effort; it sends a wrong message to his teammates and makes it easier for the opponent to play defense.
  17. Bills restructure Dion Dawkins' deal, picking up $3.9M in cap space from the internet about 40 minutes ago. Is a possible move coming?
  18. I watched the game; there were a lot of shots. Comrie played well enough, but Allen was better. Ice seemed tilted in Buffalo's favor. One thing, they seem to be missing a net presence on offense. They need someone to block the sun from the opposition's goalie to make life miserable.
  19. The question is, can the zebra change its stripes? Answer - you can when you change the environment.
  20. No, Rod took over a team with a 36-31-15 record for 87 points. Next year 99 points.
  21. I believe Peca is a more "rounded" candidate based on his past experiences, so yes I believe he would be successful.
  22. When comparing Peca's coaching history to Rod Brind'Amour's, It took Rod 7 years in the Hurricanes organization before he became head coach. Starting in 2012, Michael has spent 2 years with Jr. Sabers and was coach of the year, head coach of the Major Jr. Sabers, and GM of hockey ops for Jr. Sabres. Worked as Capitals player development coach and Amerks assistant coach. As we all know, in 2023, he is now with the Rangers as a bench coach. Based on Rod the Bod's history and Peca's I believe he is ready to make that jump to HC in the NHL.
  23. Not sure who said it on NHL Network Sirius Radio, but they mentioned maybe it's time for a more "seasoned" coach for the Sabres. DG is a good development guy but it's time for this team to win.
  24. Diggs also had a big drop in the first half that stalled a drive
