Sorry to post this so late, Brian passed away on June 11th. I figured if Hulk Hogan and Ozzy deserve a thread, Brian Wilson definitely should have one. A musical genius, in my opinion as well as in the opinion of people like Paul McCartney, Elton John, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, etc. Pet Sounds always ranks in the top 3 “Greatest Albums of All-Time”. Perhaps greatest vocal arranger in the history of rock. And a lifelong inspiration to me.

Does ANYONE ever just sing the National Anthem without trying to show off how many weird high notes they can hit?

To each his/her own. I love baseball, watch every Cleveland game I can. To me it’s not boring at all. To me, soccer is the most boring sport. You kick the ball, I kick the ball, back and forth, with about 3 total minutes of action where there’s actually the slightest possibility of a goal. Baseball has elements of team play as well as one on one, pitcher vs batter. Any pitch can result in a score. Any number of possible outcomes every batter. And having one superstar guarantees nothing, because if the superstar is a batter he only bats every 9th time and if he’s a pitcher he only starts every 5th day. Unfortunately the Dodgers are killing this aspect, as they have a zillion dollar team of superstars. But in theory it’s a great game to me.

The Sabres have certainly earned all this negativity from the board. They’ve earned it collectively over several years. That’s a little unfair to guys that have only been on the team a short time. But they certainly don’t respond AS A TEAM very effectively. It’s to the point where the fans are so sick of the losing, the brain dead moves, the poor management, lack of direction from ownership, etc etc etc that it’s very difficult to see ANYTHING good in this team. To the point that many of us care more about having this team show some pride than about winning a game when we’re pathetically out of the playoff race AGAIN! It’s no wonder that only a handful of people bother to post anymore. I just f**king want the Sabres to be good again.
