  1. I don't this take is going to look very good on July 1st
  2. Number of hits is not a good category to lead the league in as teams at the top of that list are often at the bottom of the standings. For starters: it indicates you are losing the possession game.
  3. The Pegula Error: 253 Wins, 325 Losses, 87 OTL
  4. Look at what we traded the Conn Smythe winner for two offseasons ago and get back to me. We have a GM who constantly gets conned and suckered, a Sam trade will be no different. And the idea that Sam is the problem with this team is complete lunacy as well, just like the idea that ROR was the problem with this team. "Those who cannot remember the past..."
  5. Sam is one of his best friends. He is also one of the very few good players in our entire organization. What would you expect to happen if Sam gets traded for a pu pu platter of junk ala ROR that makes our roster even more sad and terrible than it already is? If they could trade him for an excellent #2 center that wouldn't be a problem because that could actually improve the team but that type of trade is going to happen on the 10th of Never.
  6. And when Sam is traded we will also end up saving the $10 million per season cap hit on Jack when he demands a trade immediately afterwards.
  7. This is Karmanos Math at it's finest. Next season: Let's say Sam gets $6 million in arbitration. Kyle makes $6 million next season. That would be a cap gain of $12 million per season, not $22 million. Then factor in the third liner we'd get back (and if you've seen the type of guys Botts likes think not very good and expensive) that would take $2-3 million off that number. Now try and find a player (or players) you can get with that $9 million who would be as good as a just hitting his prime Sam. Oh and did I mention there's a very real chance Okposo ends up on LTIR and his cap hit gets significantly reduced? And that even though he is making far more than what his value as a player is he has actually been one of our more effective players this year with the LOG line?
  8. Which won't get you a player nearly as good as Sam in UFA, so there's a hole you just created that won't be adequately filled. And our huge bounty in the trade will be a late round first (which Botts can waste on another junk low ceiling defenseman) and a third line winger.
  9. You REALLY want that no playoff streak to hit 19 so it tops the Bills right???
  10. I was blessed to receive this sacred and holy relic today AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Per team policy they are cheap knockoff emojis from China.
  12. That would make for one hell of a shirt. Some entrepreneurial fan need to jump all over that idea.
  13. All I want is that the second the puck drops the crowd starts a huge anti Botts/anti Pegula chant that is louder than a Motorhead concert that forces everyone in the sport to take notice of what a cesspool this organization is.
  14. Dale Hunter should still be rotting in a Nassau County prison for what he did to Pierre. He possibly cost him and the Islanders a cup, should've been kicked out of the sport for life.
  15. Here is the complete list of players I would consider trading Dahlin for: -Connor McDavid. That is all.
  16. Johnson showed no offensive production in his junior career, he is not going to magically acquire that ability at a higher level. He is the type of player this organization needed the least and they passed over a kid playing 50 miles Northwest who was exactly what this organization needed.
  17. Bottalogic: Defenseman with less offensive upside than most goalies > Leading goalscorer in the OHL carrying his team to a playoff spot their roster suggests they have no business even being close to.
  18. This should put into perspective just how awful and incompetent Botts has been: The Islanders will have announced plans for a new arena, had the plan approved after having to go through red tape mandated by a disgusting and corrupt system, started construction and will open it (Fall 2021) before Botts can put together a team who can even compete for a playoff spot (much less earn one).
  19. Given that he had to be helped off the ice by two guys I don't think it looks good at all.
  20. Are you seriously comparing KBA to any of those places? They were historic sites and shrines to the sport, this place was literally falling apart before it even opened (there are cracks in the building from the rush job/shoddy work to get it done in time). The only arena left in the entire sport that doesn't make the place look like a toilet is the Nassau Coliseum, and watching a game in that place is a billion times better. And you are missing the bigger picture: you can't control the results on the ice, but you can control what's off it. Whether it's promotions, pre game videos, not keeping that idiot DJ Milk around, having concession items more appealing than MRE's, having displays of historic moments in the arena (Thanks for removing the Buffalo Sports HOF display to expand the team store that ran out of the 50th anniversary jerseys!) or fixing up the arena so it isn't a complete dump our ownership has done none of this. Whether it's because they are completely incompetent or because they simply don't care is the only question.
  21. They are in St Louis, should've had Story of the Year perform instead!!!
  22. I plan on going to the HellaMega Tour, watching Weezer, staying to see if Fall Out Boy play stuff from when they were actually good and then walking out before Green Day hit the stage.
