And if anyone is going to try with the "Terry saved the team" narrative (which isn't true, but that's besides the point) than you must also believe John Spano was a great owner because he negotiated and signed the cable deal that is the reason the Isles still exist.

McCabe being an idiot and skating the puck back behind his own net rather then clearing it led to the goal.

You are not beating NHL level goaltending doing nothing but shots from way out with nobody in front of the net. How can our players and coaches not understand this?

If it was any other team or situation I'd completely agree. We are playing a historic tire fire of a team tonight, if we can't beat them than who can we beat? And don't ask me how a team dwadling over firing someone as repulsive as Peters is getting all the luck.

They are losing to a team dealing with the biggest PR nightmare a team could possibly face.

Fans don't even care enough to boo them off the ice like they deserve.

If this team has even an ounce of pride that New Years Eve game will be an Isles-Pens Fight Night style bloodbath with Tampa players being beaten all over their ice to the point they go crying to the league like bullies who can dish it out but can't take it.

Watch what happened in that third period and then watch Ralph's press conference. Are you seriously going to tell me something isn't horribly wrong. Our franchise player may have just become the next Tim Connolly and Ralph's concern is avoiding getting a fine? Honest to God he needed to go full Schonny yelling "Have another donut" on that officiating crew ( who also deserve to be fined and suspended for their stunning incompetence). I am more ashamed and embarrassed to be a Sabres fan right now than I am being a Bengals fan. This is the new low point of the Pegula era.

Because he was used as the scapegoat by fans for everything wrong with this team instead of the stupid owner, GM and coach (and the results when we replaced him with just about the worst goalie tandem in the league speak for themselves).

1) Skinner basically forced his way here because he wanted to be close to home and becoming a Leaf was impossible. 2) It was actually a second round pick that ended up 5 or so spots back from our massive haul in the ROR deal (and unlike ROR Skinner was headed to UFA and had no intention of staying so they had to trade him).

Good thing the leading goal scorer in the OHL right now wasn't available with that 31st pick this past June and we ended up taking a defenseman with no offensive upside. If that had happened it would be real embarrassing...

Getting in front of the net to screen him seeing shots would also work but apparently our players and organization are convinced that doing so is illegal.

Oh God we are about to get clowned in a trade big time. This is why putting your organization in a position where you have to make a desperation move mid season instead of addressing the roster flaws in the offseason is incredibly foolish.
