All you have to do is look at the goaltending tandem that is being tossed out to see this team is winning fewer than 20 games this season regardless of if every other thing goes right. This has to be the worst goaltending duo any alleged NHL team has iced in the post lockout era.

The only way I can see sucker bet is they have inside info on a Jack trade that makes this team at least somewhat competitive.

To put into perspective how this is essentially free money: to reach this the team would need 30 wins and 8 loser points. Our goalies are a completely washed up Craig Anderson and the Carter Hutton level awful Aaron Dell. This team is highly unlikely to win 20 games.

What the heck does Montreal even have to offer that they would be willing to part with that we would even want (Caufield is 1,000,000,000,000% off limits so rid yourself of that fantasy)?

The Anderson/Dell pairing means they are going to be giving up at least 4-5 goals on an almost nightly basis (and people who say "UPL" are kidding themselves because he isn't close to NHL ready at this point and having him in Buffalo at any point this season other than a late season cup of coffee would be incredibly stupid) and I'd be stunned if they won more than 20 games and didn't have at least two 10+ game winless streaks.

I am still trying to figure out how tossing a bunch of kids out to get destroyed and humiliated on a nightly basis is going to lead to development? It's just such an anti-logic that I can't wrap my head around it. The lesson about trying to lose should've been learned but very clearly wasn't.
