  1. The blown call was the missed, blantant pass interference. He pushed the guy to the ground, jumped up and wrestled the ball away. How did thewy miss that? He was right where the ball was thrown., Where could they have been looking?
  2. My prediction is people will be back to complaining about refs in 2 weeks..
  3. As I said up thread, the scary part of a 2nd Obama term is that he has no prescription for fixing the economy. He will be either lucky as some world event rescues him or more likely he'll go out keeping Herbert Hoover company.
  4. Didn't realize that about their President. My bad. No, I'm saying that Europe no longer drives US foreign policy the way it once did. It is no longer the hotspot in the world. The mideast and south east Asia are more the focus of US foreign policy. The Obama administration made a very overt announcement that the Pacific and Indian Oceans warranted more attention than the Atlantic. Some of the fleet has been repositioned as a result of that. Clearly Egypt, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, North Korea draw more attention than say Britian, Germany, France, Czech or Poland do. Heck Mexico drew and draws more attention from US foreign policy than even Russia does these days. And then of course there is Yemen, Syria and Libya that all warrant more attention than most of Europe. I think Europe is somewhat self policing these days.
  5. I made no assertion that the US was relevant. And back to the point, outside of those crazy Norwegians giving him a totally unwarranted and unjustified Nobel Peace Prize, Obama has all but ignored Europe unless he wants to take a vacation. When was the last time the French PM was invited here? For the time being, Europe is irrelevant to US foreign policy.
  6. I agree.. Europe stopped being relevant with the fall of the wall. The only thing Europe seems good at now is destabilizing the world economy. Seriously, why do we care what the French think of us? Obama has all but ignored Europe during his time in office. If it wasn't for the annual G8, Europe wouldn't even be on his radar. Of course not.. That still doesn't explain to me how you get 57. That's like saying there are four favors in neopolitan ice cream. I simply don't understand how he could make THAT mistake. It's so elementary. Like saying a dollar is 101 cents. In the end I don't care. Maybe he was just projecting the annexation of Canada, Mexico and Central America..
  7. You guys are all willing to give the big O a pass on 57 states.. Come on now.. How goes anyone get 57? Seriously? That's like saying there were 15 colonies... Or the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1777 or that Thomas Jefferson was the first President or well u get my point. No one makes that mistake. Well one does.
  8. That's quite a spin.. Considering how strategic a punter is in the game plan (punting and holding), I'd think there would be other baggage that could be set a drift, like McGee. Releasing McGee might get you the same reaction. So what is the plan for who punts?
  9. Maybe in his plane the windows do open.... Did you ever consider that? Well did ya? :-)
  10. Fitz is making enough to be a QB and a punter.. Problem solved.. Imagine teams trying to defense a QB/P ten yards behind line of scrimmage.. Rush? Drop into coverage? Add Brad Smith as the safety valve that you can always direct snap to.... Now that's wild cat people...
  11. Ahh, who needs a punter? I say they just go 4th down no matter where they are. If they really need to punt it, let Fitz do it.
  12. Outstanding...
  13. Uh oh.. Who are we going to send to the Pro Bowl then? I thought he was terrible this weekend. I mean 30 yard punts when he had the whole field. My guess is he's hurt and it's a salary dump. He was punting away from Cribs, but still...
  14. It is the kind of thing you woukd expect to hear from "W".
  15. I've watched quite a few games. This game was different. How many 80 yard drives were there? Someone can fact check this, but I'd be willing to bet each one was sustained by a defensive penalty. It was really ridiculous out there last night. Both sides were working the refs and they were calling everything.
  16. I dislike the Ravens and I dislilke the Pats, so I have no dog in this fight. There were 24 penalties called in last night's game. There were time outs taken for reviews only to conclude that no review was possible. There were more pass interference and illegal contact calls than I have ever seen called in a game. Both head coaches were pissed. Calls were overturned that that talking heads said should not have been and their were calls that were left to stand that the talking heads said should not have been. There was a call for measurement when the placement of the ball was so obviously short that a legally blind man could have determined that it was short. That gave the Ravens a defacto time out and plenty of opportunity to challenge the call. My take up until this game were that people were forgetting how bad the normal refs were. Last night is the first game that I thought was truly an bad showing for the striped shirts.
  17. Spiller only out 1 or 2 weeks per KFFL.com
  18. That Fitz turnover seemed to change the momentum. Looked like TC was subbing okay for CJS, but this no longer looks like a lock.
  19. Ruh Roh. Bye, bye Spiller..
  20. Looked good on opening drive against Browns.. 2nd drive was pretty good too...
  21. I side with neither. The owners are the ones that over pay and then blame the players when they want more. The whole process is ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned, shut it down for the whole year so they all lose money.
  22. I get the occasional slip, but in the two cases I specifically cited, they told these lies repeatedly. And neither of these cases I cited was a surreptitious recording. They told these lies knowing full well they were being recorded and were specifically using these lies to further their agendas..
  23. I'm really fascinated by the psyche of the men/women who seek to be President. 4 years ago Hillary got caught stretching the truth about a flight into the former Yugoslav republics. Now Romney gets caught flat footed with an issue about paying too much taxes. These folks who would be King tell bald face lies over and over and then challenge folks to find the truth. And the truth always comes out. Who gets caught in a lie about voluntarily overpaying taxes?
  24. What a coincidence. Those odds match Romney's chance of being President..
  25. Record Theatre... That's a name I haven't heard in a long time...
