I take it the Yankees lost?

As much as is made of the 2000 election, the reality is that if Gore had won his home state of Tennessee, he would have been President. The electoral college may have screwed Gore but his homeboys really screwed him. I'm not certain of this fact, but he may be one of only a few Presidential candidates to lose their own state. Heck even Mondale managed to win Minnesota as Reagan took the other 49. Romney may be next as Michigan won't vote for him.

I was highly disappointed in both performances. They turned that into a street brawl. Neither man owned the high ground and both came off looking liike they didn't know how to answer a simple question. They forgot the audience after the first few questions. That forum was supposed to make for a more civil debate. It didn't. I'm sure they'll judge the Big O a slight winner. But in my mind, he whiffed and so did Romney. Obama did not give me a reason to vote for him last night and neither did Romney.

This is the worst feeling I've ever had for a 3-3 team. Beat Houston or New England and I'll change my mind.. My guess .. Buffalo 21 - Houston 45 My guess .. Buffalo 28 - Tennessee 18 My guess .. Buffalo 14 -- New England 36

Just looking at some new polling.. Per Rasmussen... Romney holds within the margin of error leads in VA, NC and NH. He's ahead in FL. If those hold, and with an Ohio win by Romney, he could be the next President. Per USA Today: Obama now leads women voters in swing states 49-48%.. While the Democrats dispute this number as too low, it does suggest that Romney has shrunk the gender gap from the grand canyon to a canyon. If there is any single stat that will get Obama nervous, it has to be a reduction in support from women. If this is true, I find this to be the most compelling head scratcher of the entire political theatre. I dont get exposed to the battleground state ads living in MD. The state is so heavily democratic that they would overwhelming vote for a dead democrat than a vote for a republican. So when I travel to a battleground state, I feel very sorry for folks. The ad blitz on TV is non stop. A two minute cycle of Bash Obama, Praise Romney, Bash Romney and Praise Obama seemingly happens on every commercial break.

I've seen others espouse this theory as well. These guys are lifetime appointments. They worked their whole life to get there to make these tough decisions as all decisions that get there are tough. What does he care about political capital?

If you look at the stats for the game, this game was even steven across just about EVERY significant category, total yards (B:306-A:332, passing yards (B:141-A:150), rushing yards (B:165-A182), first downs (B:19-A:20), 3rd down (B:30%-A:31%) total plays (B:68-A:71),time of possession (B:31m-A:32m) etc... It was remarkably even except for the sacks which favored Buffalo 5-2.

I know what you are saying. How many people are employed in the fast food industry? Sadly, it seems like the only growth area in this country is low-level jobs. If you take away the jobs at KFC, Walmart, BK, McD, Taco Hell, etc, I wonder what the jobs creation number would look like over the last four years.

Yeah.. You're hooked. Same thing happened to me before Season 2. I watched the season 1 marathon and got hooked. Season 2 got a bit boring/slow in the middle but it sure picked up at the end.

A bit dramatic. Didn't Roberts, aka über conservative himself, vote to uphold Obama care? That decision doesn't return us to 1950 or 1850..

This is back-to-back good weeks for Romney (read not bad weeks). I expect a pretty engaged President in the Tuesday debate. Obama needs to blunt some of this Romney momentum if he wants to keep his job. I think how Romney is perceived in this next one will go along way to helping or hurting his chances. People's expectations have been raised. Can he meet them?

So now on the heels of a tightening race in Ohio, Florida and NH show Romney leads. Getting interesting.

Lot of competition for Sunday night tv.. Not sure I can tape everything I like to watch. Three of my favorite shows are now on Sunday night, the Mentalist, Homeland and Walking Dead. Throw in Football and that makes a very difficult set of choices. Thank god hockey hasn't started yet..

My thoughts on watching the debate. 1. Ryan was repeatedly trapped by Joe in positions he took a congresman that are opposed to the Romney platform he is defending now. Biden was ready for him. 2. Ryan did a lot of dodging of questions asked directly to him. 3. Biden's behavior grated on me over the time I watched. His broad smiles were as phoney as they come. But effective. 4. I walked away thinking, that was a draw. 5. If anything, I found more to dislike in Biden than I found to like in Ryan and that was dissapointing to me. 6. Moderator did a better job than last week. Asked much harder and more direct questions that both these guys artfully ducked.
