  1. And yes ... 7.2 - 8 mil. is not insane. When all things (not in a convenient vacuum) are considered. As much as you or others click your heals and fold your arms and wish it wasn’t true. Reinhart will ask for and receive that. From the Sabres or someone else. I certainly hope it’s lower of course. And that last sentence I would think you could agree with. ^ that ... that right there ... is an opinion. Based on facts of his peers and what they have received. Not wishful thinking
  2. Meh. I like Weiland. Great stories. And I still like the Pegulas...
  3. That is thinking in a vacuum. Without context. Without consideration for timing or the future. When it comes to evaluating Reinhart in the past, present, and future,, you’ve already proven to the board, you can’t. Mosts talking points you or Pi think you’re making gets refuted or disproven. The fact that you think it’s insane ... is insane. Oh, and the NHL is no longer trending in the direction of “checking line” “heavier checking line”. Most successful coaches haven’t thought that way or GM’s building that way since Boston won the cup in 2011. So you may want to try again with your fantasy team build.
  4. Yep. IF we can get good pieces back IF those pieces are productive and good teammates IF those pieces want to stay with Buffalo IF we can sign those pieces for a fair cap hit it would be a great plan ... Or just keep Reinhart because we know what we know....
  5. Doesn’t matter. Toffoli has what one would call “jam”. That scores more points in the sport of hockey than ... um ... points.
  6. Most fans, once they see (if they don’t see they’ll have a different opinion) the peers of Reinhart. See what they are getting paid. Understand the cap will go up. 7.2 - 8.0 is absolutely fair. Anything less would be awesome! All the shortsighted noise is just that. Noise. Noise in which it’s impossible to change a fans mind. I call it “Stuck in cement even with a jackhammer, sledgehammer and dynamite close by”.
  7. I would be too. Unfortunately I think it may take a little more. Looking at his peers and what they get.
  8. If someone wants to do the legwork ... how many goals in the last season and a half from Eichel, did Reinhart have an assist on. Now visa versa. That would be interesting.
  9. ???? only IF he LEADS us to a Stanley Cup. That’s rich. you are right about one thing, you’ll never change your opinion. And neither will those who like Reinhart. And like you pointing out any negative plays, passes, falls, ,trips and sneezes, I and others will continue to give Reinhart DUE praise when he does something well. God knows the haters won’t.
  10. Eichel isn’t a 100+ point player. He may never be. Until he is ... he isn’t. Strawman. “He doesn’t care about the team”... pure BS and a poor opinion. ”only cares about himself” “style of play” ... that’s why he’s always had more assists than goals. Because he only cares about getting goals. He’s such a shoot first puck hog like E. Kane. Dooo Betta. Elite passing IS an “intangible” seeing the ice very well IS an “intangible”. Terrific hand/eye coordination IS an “intangible”. Dooo Betta. Skinner definitely doesn’t inspire his linemates. A ton of well well well paid players don’t inspire. They don’t need to. And inspire is such a broad genetic paintbrush term. Doooo Betta.
  11. Haha ... they were basically saying he’s gonna get paid big time.
  12. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are talking about Reinhart on WGR right now. Sam is getting Connor/Duchene term and money. No doubt.
  13. https://theathletic.com/1550914/2020/01/21/evaluating-sam-reinharts-value-as-he-approaches-restricted-free-agency/?amp#click=https://t.co/vqk6JP3JIw those who have The Athletic... maybe post some highlights from it.
  14. Um um don’t forget, like he falls down and goes boom a lot. And like the eye test says he’s not trying hard. He’s not a dipsy doodler. He like doesn’t skate fast like Jack. He doesn’t check opponents with the fierceness and ruthlessness of Eichel. Or is it VO? Or no no, I think it’s Dahlin. Such a shame. He should play a perfect game and be a perfect player. Like a robot. Yea yea, like a hockey robot made from Bauer, or Warrior. These low standards will only apply to Reinhart. Now if only one team would want a 65-70 point winger. Man he’s gonna be a tough one to move with all those faults, imperfections and lack of aggression. Maybe Sabres could get someone like Gerbe back. I mean Gerbe passes the eye test for trying hard. He skates pretty and dipsy doodles sometimes. He body checks like a proper hockey player should. He doesn’t fall down and go boom too much due to his low center of gravity. His lack of 65-70 point production over his career won’t be a concern at all. I mean c’mon he’ll play with Jack and everything will be perfect. At least he’ll look like he’s trying. I mean eye test is everything when you don’t wanna look at stats and or analytics. When you want to throw out baseless claims, armchair eye tests are the cornerstone of any argument.
  15. Finished The Mandalorian. Loved it. 10/10. Finished binging Master of None both seasons. Good show. 7.5/10.
  16. Not only that but the claim is hypocritical. He complains how fans who like Reinhart as a player exaggerate and give him “undo” praise. Sooooo what would saying He does “nothing” be? Hmmm .... good grief. And it’s so terrible to express ones opinion and say I don’t take certain fans opinion on Reinhart seriously? It’s shake your head loony talk IMO.
  17. I love how some want to see Sam produce without Eichel before getting paid big $$$. Yep. Like that’s standard operating procedure with all the other peers who have gotten big contracts. Nope none of those guys play with good line mates. It’s all on their own. No teamwork, or chemistry with all those guys ? Strawman deep dives like Do Better are hilarious. Reimhart will get from the Sabres or another team 6-8 year deal. And at a minimum ... 6mil per. probably in the ballpark of 7 - 7.5 per.
  18. I can tell you with good authority ... AdPro is freaking terrible and take longer than competing companies. But they throw a ton of money at advertising and get big accounts because of it. And suckers keep using them. I constantly get clients who have had bad experiences with AdPro and come to me for not only a better experience but sometimes a better product and better prices.
  19. In the Buffalo area most are usually anywhere from 1 to 6 degrees of separation from knowing “the big names” in and around Buffalo. You don’t have to trust me on this if you don’t want to ... but I thank the hockey gods Hamister never got his claws on the Sabres or any major sports team in the area. He was/is bad bad bad news.
  20. And before the trade deadline OR on April 4th he will be gone. I think the vast majority of fans know this, realize this, understand this to be true. Wishful thinking of waiving is nice and all ... but it’s just that ... wishful thinking.
  21. Thanks! For some reason I thought they had UPL down in Cincinnati temporarily while he rehabs… And the thought was to bring him to Rochester for a good chunk of the season. I guess I got my signals crossed on the plans for him
  22. Any idea why this is? Does it have anything to do with the Amerks currently playing terrible and they don’t want to have his confidence affected long term if he stays with them for the rest of the season? Hmmmm
  23. Now this idea ... I like. But that’s one expensive DJ. Plus he may injure his hands hitting play, pause, or that difficult to accomplish function, the switch tracks button.
  24. Yep. And $25-35 is even better. ? I’m only speaking for me here... I’ve never been one to need a new video game the day it comes out. The week it comes out. The month in comes out. Same with consoles. As an example, I got the PS4 last year for Christmas. It first came out just before Christmas in 2013. I’ll get the new SW game (because of the positive reviews here and elsewhere). Probably in May.
