  1. I'll watch, I'll bitch and moan, I'll even chime in on the GDT. For today is a day I wait for every year. Its our annual family outing to get our Christmas tree. And in true Griswold fashion, I'm eyeing the neighbors 8' cedar 3 houses down :) Time to put a new blade on the bow saw, get my ninja outfit together and plan my route across the backyards.......
  2. I'm pretty baffled as well. Confidence maybe? I just don't understand or cannot comprehend how dam near every player on the roster has lost their competitive hunger and drive. I'm actually starting to run the "aliens abducted the team" scenarios through my head.
  3. I'm looking at Housley more and more as the cancer. This team has front end talent. Hell, we had the #1 power play last season. Fire that piece of already!
  4. What a show. And your right, a lot more patience as we suffer. I'm taking my brother to the Carolina game on the 15th. Maybe they'll score a goal then
  5. WTF is wrong with this team in its own end. They always look like a monkey a football.
  6. The Sabres are what they are. A team in the middle of a complete roster tear down and rebuild. 6 years, That's what it'll take, we are currently in year 3.
  7. Your going to be disappointed when Kane is traded.
  8. A late first is as equally a scrap shoot as a late second to me. Sprong is the target, we need scorers.
  9. Kane 50% retained and Baptiste for conditional 2018 2nd (condition being making the ECF, If they don't it reverts to the first of their two 4th rdrs), Cole and Sprong. That is a fair deal right there given they are going for a 3-peat.
  10. Good game so far. A lot of action. Hoping Housely carries the positivity in to the post game presser......
  11. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Hope Risto is ok. The 3rd should be entertaining.
  12. Bots is doing it right imo. Developing talent in the system. A few of these contracts are g9ne next season, and I would argue, a couple of RFA's are not going to see next season as well. I surmise up to as many as 5 roster spots possibly being available. The goal for the remainder of the season is most likely to gauge where the young are at and how they plan to shape the team going forward. There are some intriguing personnel both in the system as well as the roster. For example, Girgensons and Larsson. What is their future with the organization? CJ Smith surely has caught at least the attention of the organization given his play in Rochester. What of Bailey, Baptiste and Fasching? They are approaching a time frame where decisions will have to be made. Bots has a plate full with this organization as of now imo.
  13. E-Rod is an NHL player imo.
  14. Sitting here in a tree stand, I'd like a win. I may go in to town to watch this one tonight, if u don't get a deer.
  15. Treliving was at both the Carolina-Buffalo game and the Columbus-Buffalo game. Bennett has been rumored to be in the doghouse. Calgary has a decent D prospect pool. They need help on wing, specifically top 2 line LW scoring. Anything we have come to mind?
  16. They had a couple of whiffs that coat them. They seem to have a real problem dinishing.
  17. Each game that passes increases our odds for Dahlin.
  18. Joe Yerdon Joe Yerdon @JoeYerdon Peeped the scout list tonight for CBJ/BUF and Flames GM Brad Treliving is again on the list here. Joining the list tonight is Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli. 5:30 PM ยท Nov 20, 2017 What's this make, 3 Sabres games in a row for the flames?
  19. You asked, I gave an opinion on it. Sports teams are more like units. When I served, you took pride in what you represented. The corporate world merely attempted to emulate what has been done in unit building.
  20. Changing the culture starts with accountability, from the players specifically. And not just towards self-accountability or your team mates, but to that logo on their jerseys. Pride, commitment, a willingness built in to achieve and doing what it takes to do so. These culminate in to confidence imo. Right now, this roster has very little of that, again, imo. The only ones who can change that are the coaching staff imo.
  21. Thanks for the response. Yea, I have to figure its the defense rotating door. I fully believe he will be in Buffalo either by the deadline or most definitely next season.
  22. I l8ke Ullmark Modo, but in the 5 or 6 games I've seen, 3 or 4 them he was fighting the puck it seemed. Don't get me wrong, he looked ready, but I have to ask, is there a nagging injury or 2as it something as simple as the rotating door on d men up to buffalo and the unfamiliarity of playing behind them? And P.S. ..... I think he's the starter here, either at the deadline or next season. I'll hang up and listen to what you think.
  23. For myself I see it as an experimental situation on the passing game. Our offensive arsenal is currently handicapped, and in a serious fashion I might add, due specifically to the limiting factors of a repeatedly failed air attack. Some blame the offensive coordinator, some the poor receiving corps, others still the O line, and I'm sure there are several other excuses. But in the end, its very apparent game after game that Tyrod has accuracy issues and is unable to "manage" a game. Will the kid do better? We won't know until he's in there. But from the very limited sample size from last weekend, I'm certainly not opposed to this move.
