  1. Going to this one. Come on boys, just win.
  2. Wow, they woke up and low and behold..... That's a goal.
  3. Its just sad what had happened to Buffalo sports teams. And it started long before Pegula. For the Sabres, they panic when they get the puck because every team in the league is aware the Sabres fold at the first sign of pressure. What's worse is the passing and possession overall. Just terrible passing and it looks like were back to dump and Chase. Very little speed game in and game out. This is a bottom 5 team........Again :(
  4. I hear ya PA. But even a broken crayon still colors, it just takes a bit to regain its form.
  5. Poor Girgs, he really does get on quite a bit line up wise. 4th line? Yikes!
  6. Heard the mascot is on the outs..Connor said he was a climate change denier
  7. Well, he's definitely not what he could be. What's worse, he openly admits it. Terry, Kim, open the check book, I will expect sessions twice a week, if I'm on emergency call in my fees triple. Oh, and side note: I'll need 5,000 up front, saw a nice Fruedian couch Ryan will love........Call me.
  8. Nice! Even if we win it all this year the future is so important. After all, Terry said CUPS not CUP ;)
  9. Surprised no one is talking about Victor Olofsson. Kid is getting heavy praise from Baker and many others. He looks about ready to jump over to North America. Kris Baker @SabresProspects You'll have a hard time finding a better pure shooter than Olofsson among the Sabres prospects.
  10. Can't see them moving Sam unless it 9s for a d man. And that d man had better be pretty dam good.
  11. Lehner is most likely in his final season with the Sabres IMO. I think next season we'll see Ullmark for sure. As for the other goalie......FA or trade.
  12. Poor Bailey, saddled with poo poo
  13. I wasn't aware he'd transitioned.
  14. I can't say your wrong. But let's at the very least take in to consideration a few points.A. He did make an attempt to bolster the old Rochester core in an effort to improve the club. Yes, it failed. I make no excuses for that. But the largest problem 10 years running was the organizations inability to spend adequately to keep talent. B. Once A failed, the cleaning process began from top to bottom. Was it handled appropriately? No. I concede this. But, it happened none the less and we ended up with Murray and Bylsma. I consider it a mistake that Terry learned from. And yes, I do concur PA, it was another massive mistake to try and rush things. C. Bots hiring. While I realize the whole tethered to Pittsburgh thing, just about everyone, insiders and fans alike, agreed this was the best choice available for the job. And while I fully understand that's no conciliation prize for the fan base, I believe it is within reason to assume a 5 to 7 year window before the team is ready given what we've seen in the past on rebuilds to contention status. In the end, does Pegula make mistakes? Sure, he's human, just like the rest of us. And while those mistakes frustrate us as fans, we need to learn patience ourselves. We have an owner who is passionate and shows a commitment to try, just like the rest of the organization he is going to have to "develop" in to that successful status we all desire. I've read your posts, does he meddle? Yes, he did and still does I am sure. But I don't believe he's doing it to spite you, me or any of the fans. He just wants to succeed. Over zealous, and he's learning to curb that. Have patience with him, forgive even if you can't forget.
  15. FYI, he primarily plays LW now
  16. Explains it, thanks.
  17. I think he does. His or get off the pot mentality is refreshing. At least we won't be stuck with a life time GM appointment like Regier had.
  18. Casey Middlesteadt scores against Penn St.
  19. They fired Brad May? Didn't know.
  20. FYI, Casey Middlesteadt is tearing it up right now. This kid went 8th? Unbelievable. He is unreal.
  21. Okposo is a huge ? with the recent health issues. Sad really, he is a great player. Hope it pans out.O'Reilly has good value, even with that 7.5 aav. He won't be moved, at least this year. Reinhart has the most value given potential and cost. If, and I know it's just an if, but if JB were to target a high end 2/3 d man, 22 to 25 age range, I fully expect Sam to be the center piece going the other way. And given our d depth, I have a feeling we'll see some sort of trade in season as an attempt to address that, and that scares me a bit. For as crappy as we are d wise, Murray tried using assets as well, so far it looks like a failed strategy.
  22. I haven't had a beer in just over 3 weeks. Was on 12's for 22 days. Cracked my first one at 3:09pm today, need to pace myself to a 5 or 6 pack by game time so I can numb the pain of those 2.5/3 hours.
  23. I have a bad feeling about this road trip
  24. Way to early to even broach this conversation. Housely and staff aren't the problem, and you can bet everyone from the owner on down to the zamboni operators know it. Its the players. A half dozen are short term gap fillers while developing youth ply their lessons in the AHL, juniors and over seas. 4 or 5 players that are supposed to be a part of the gradual up swing aren't performing, ROR, Okposo, Larsson, Risto and McCabe. Look at the Islanders, it took 6 years from the Tavares pick to pull it together in some sort of semblance. Expect the same here, and we just started year 3. Patience.
  25. Both Reinhart and ROR need a speedy mitts winger and a speedy power forward as wingers, to offset their lack of speed. We have them, in Rochester. Young speedy wingers in Bailey, Baptiste and Smith. If you look at it by shot hand..... Smith - ROR - Bailey Kane - Reinhart - Baptiste Would it work? Who cares, try injecting speed with young hunger and see if chemistry develops. It certainly can't hurt since the worst result is losing, the same result we're getting now without trying.
