  1. I have one problem with this assessment, he doesn't use his linemates effectively. He's a puck hog and it actually hinders the abilities of his linemates more often than not. I'd rather the money went elsewhere to be honest. Not that he is an over all bad player, just that I feel the team can do better. He could fetch a decent young top 4 LED in a deal. I'm still looking hard at Anaheim.
  2. Once Eichel and Reinhart are signed, Kane will be "on the clock" to be moved if we did re-sign him. Ask yourself this: what amount and term do you see a 26/27 year old Kane re-signing for? My guess is he'll be looking for 5 years or more at 5.5 to 6 mil aav. Given what he brings to the table, I'd move him.
  3. This says it best. And Theodore is who I would target as well. Muzzin, not so much. The problem is 2 fold really. Keeping Kane is nit a reality as he'll want equal to or a few more dollars. While he brings a hard charging 20 goal scoring game to the team, he is also 1 dimensional in that regard ad he fails to use linemates much more often than not and when he does shoot many of those shots are way out on the angle. Trade him for a Theodore type d man who doesn't need to be protected and fills a desperate need. But bare in mind, take a look at the cap jail many teams that would like him are in. It will be tough for most. There is however, 1 team I see that has the need and cap space, Carolina. They are flush with young D ad well.
  4. Great game. Best I've seen all season. Bailey tearing up the A since his return to boot.
  5. BoGO!!!!!!!! O'Reilly with another multi-point game
  6. MODO, what players are 20 to 22 age range, left wingers with speed over there?
  7. We I'm just sad that that is what constitutes edge of your seat excitement in sabers nation these days.......just sad I like that game lol
  8. To be fair, you were reaching for your beer at that moment. Come on, be honest.....
  9. Forwards B Top 6 needs 2xLW Bottom 6 needs 1xC 2xW'ers Defense D Risto, McCabe with Ghule incoming. Where is the help? Need 3xD + depth Goalie D Lehner ain't it. Critical to addressing this at every level.
  10. The fan base is already disappointed. Unleash the youth forwards for the rest of the season. Bring up Baptiste, Bailey and Fasching. Send down Des, Cal and Falk. Let the dogs loose, let's see what we have collectively.
  11. To even be discussing the job ad up for grabs to Nilsson is telling in itself. I think Lehner will be on the move. We got Trouble, right here in river city.
  12. Remember the AHL Marlies with Toronto's developing talent last year? Yea, a few of those guys are up with big club now and enjoying success with Matthews. A winning culture in the AHL, if even only experienced for a season by some, is still a sure fire confidence builder. Buffalo's AHL pipeline: they are sure to loose Baptiste next season as he joins the big club. Fasching and Bailey may need another season in Rochester, but there looks to be a good handful of draft pick coming to join Rochester next season, including a few defensemen. Question: So, what's Murray's plan to achieve a winning culture in Rochester to help maximize these prospects success ratio? Answer: I personally don't see a plan. These next 18 months with this organization are pivotal. I am feeling uneasy with Murray at the helm.
  13. He's been rehabbing with Caitlin Jenner has he now? :/
  14. Yes, we know, the truth hurts. Let it out, it's all going to be ok......there there now, let it out..... :O
  15. No. He does know what to do next........prepare for more suffering. :) The only significant move i can see Tim Murray making is with Anaheim. They are going to have to move 1 defenceman for a forward to maximize their expansion draft protection. My money is on Fowler for Kane. The trade for both parties makes to much sense.
