It should have been obvious with so much youth injected in to the line up at one time that they were going need time to mature. Buffalo has no real veteran skill or veteran body forwards. Nothing against Girgs or Okposo, but they aren't going to lead these kids to successful seasons. Just my view is all.

Is that coached, or is that player on ice decisions? The way they cycle the perimeter, and it never changes, it's hard to tell.

Speaking of "cliche's". This one is an infamous excuse cliche. No such thing as "luck". You either do, or you do not. Thompson did not. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Are you saying the score wasn't Montreal 3, Buffalo 2, in regulation? The fact is, yes fact, Montreal capitalized on their chances 3 times, Buffalo only 2. Yes. That is fact, the scoreboard says so and the video of the game backs that up. Now, you can point out the Sabres outplayed the Habs for large stretches of the game, but the scoreboard says when it comes to "Finishing", i.e. actually putting the puck in the opponents net, Montreal wanted it more. And Montreals play at the end of the game, the last 2 minutes, cemented that fact given they gave Buffalo near nothing to pull the goalie to try and set up a game tying goal.

Well, we have a goalie that can keep us in position to win games, that's nice. To bad the boys couldn't finish some of their chances, it happens, even to the best of them. Bit of a disappointment not getting possession until little time left at the end there. Montreal wanted it more. I really have no complaints, good, competitive hockey.

Some nights it won't go our way, it is what it is. The team is trying hard, I think with time they'll figure it out.

It's a very real problem. Combined they take up a sizable portion of the cap. Skinner had been near invisible this early season, Thompson needs to find consistency, like, shoot the dam puck.

We went 3 wins 1 loss on this road trip, I call that success. I am concerned about the play tonight, let's hope it's not repeated often.

I was all set to watch this game, switched over to msg at 5 to 10, check, beer cracked, ice cold and frothy on end table next to recliner, check, puppies let out for potty break before 10, check...... Extended pre game??? W.....T.....F..... Scotty snoring by 10:10pm..... Dag-nabbit!!!!!! Watched the recorded replay early this AM, great game for the team, Dahlin....."Generational"....what more can be said. It's a good morning fir the horde!
