  1. Like buying TSLA at $1100. The McNabb piece was most the difficult and befuddling part of that trade. McNabb was proving himself in the AHL displaying a strong shot from the point, with strength and size (like Muel). I think he even made an AHL all star appearance.
  2. He was an invitee to the Sabres tri city prospects challenge. Undrafted in 2022, draft eligible for 2023. https://www.amerks.com/news/detail/breaking-down-the-sabres-roster-for-the-2022-prospects-challenge-defensemen-and-goaltenders
  3. One of Tiny Tim’s worst trades. And he had many.
  4. I’ve been in CA for over 25 years, and I can honestly say you have every right to be annoyed. I selfishly miss the Sabres too but I could never be so myopic as to not see the effect this storm has had on the community at large. I spent hours on Christmas Day checking in on friends and family throughout the region. I actually had to change the subject when some inquired how our weather was (it was 83 and sunny). I was so happy my parents scheduled their trip to visit us early this year, otherwise I would have been worried about them all weekend.
  5. Visual of stealing a game. Not sure I agree with 4%, but definitely high danger shooting.
  6. To the bold, agree. To the underlined - did he though? I guess we have to determine the baseline. What I saw was a few blown opportunities for break aways with poor passing, getting outshot and out chanced. Especially in the high danger areas. The snippet is from Natural Stat Trick for 5v5 stats. All Centers for last nights game. The only positive numbers were from Tage's line. Shocking right? While the Cozens line struggled, and to your point had their minutes reduced, they still had a better xGF% than the Mitts line. I mean he wasn't awful on FL#1 the last three, but Skinners return was noticeable.
  7. Proud to be at both games. My first game ever was Miami. The Jets game I was on the field in the middle of the pandemonium.
  8. Absolutely. Calgary did what Buffalo failed to do, and kill a 4 minute penalty in OT / 4 on 3. Gutsy PK.
  9. And the Patriots have an outside chance to win the division if they win their last five and Buffalo loses their last three. Both scenarios are unlikely. More probable than not that the Pats lose at least 3 of those 5.
  10. Sabres Corsi was 58 v. Pitt. 42 but high danger chances were 14 to 6 in the Pens favor. Guess we know what drives Moneypuck, as they had the Sabres “Deserved to win” at 33%. Thought it may have been closer. Casey had the best Corsi rating EV (75%) on the Sabres but a low xG 36.7%. Just not getting quality chances. Cozens for example had an xG of 78%. Mitts battled down low and actually won a few, which was surprising but the fact he finds himself having to dig out and battle so often is troubling. Bad start, bad finish. Some good inbetween.
  11. Fitz with 5:30, Clague with eight. Each get maybe 2 minutes in the third. Sabres youth has to provide a spark. Pens are old and a back to back has be tougher for them.
  12. Question. Who has less ice time, Clague or Fitz? And what is the over/under?
  13. Not a fan. He’s average at best and Rob can only serve to bring the whole broadcast down a level. One of the few advantages to living out of town is watching the opposing feed on NHL Centre Ice. Probably watch the Sabres broadcast 30-40% of the time.
  14. How does that compare to his .880 save % this year? I’ve seen him a few times and would be concerned with taking on even half of his $10m AAV. He’s 34 and declining with guaranteed money. What is his motivation?
