  1. Interesting. I've been hearing that it's really deep in the top 10ish then falls pretty quickly.
  2. That's not how it's working. If a 8-15 team gets the pick, there will be a second lottery after the playoffs for who gets the pick out of that group.
  3. Agree on Hall. I was just saying that I think they are willing to spend.
  4. My source that told me to look for something exciting to happen before the Jbotts firing said that they are targeting Taylor Hall or Granlund in FA.
  5. Yes, there isn't a whole lot that points to Adams being a successful GM. I don't think that means that we should start estimating his demise on his first day on the job.
  6. This thread should not exist. Regardless of your expectations for him, as a fan, we should still hope for the best.
  7. Not to mention salary retention in trades, buyouts, and dead cap differences.
  8. If Skinner plays like he did last year, that would be a good trade for us, when considering his contract.
  9. I believe that Krueger will be staying on as coach. He has the respect of the players (chiefly Jack)
  10. What I've heard so far, is that the early plan is to add 2 top 6 forwards, and to let the kids play. One of the forwards is likely to be through FA, (top targets Hall and Granlund)
  11. And that must be the supposed competent owner move my source talked about.
  12. Uhhh... When we won the Dahlin lottery. He also said something regarding competent ownership, but he is a Pegulas optimist, so we'll see with that.
  13. I heard from a source to expect something exciting sabres related tomorrow. Not sure what it means exactly, but we'll see.
  14. Fair point, didn't consider that. It would make sense for Hutton to try to make his poor play look fixable. I think it could also be possible that the Sabres organization encouraged Hutton's camp to reveal that information as well.
  15. Another possibility, jbotts camp leaked it to make fans less mad about going into the season with just Ulmark and Hutton, saying he'll be better now, because he can see.
  16. I think The Aud club is actually superior in quality to TSW, though it comes nowhere near the quantity of discussion. Both sites have some great posters, but TSW has a larger percentage of dumb/annoying/trolling posters. But because of the amount of discussion on TSW, I am on it more.
  17. I would just like to point out how misleading your statement for suppose whopper #1. You say "The Pegulas have spent hundreds of millions of their own dollars on arena upgrades, AS WELL AS building a hotel, restaurant and practice facility adjacent to the arena." This as well as implies that the building a hotel, restaurant, and practice facility adjacent to the arena were all separate from the hundreds of millions spent on the arena. Given that the practice facility is separate from the arena upgrade, where was this hundreds of millions spent on? In defending your article, you say it "serves as an extension of the arena", but then why did you list it separately. I am not saying you intentionally created a whopper but that could have been worded much more carefully. Ex: The Pegulas spent hundreds of millions of dollars of their own money on arena upgrades, an adjacent practice facility, hotel, and restaurant. It doesn't seem as impressive for what the Pegulas have done, but it better shows what really happened. Unless in actuality, they did spend hundreds of millions on arena upgrades, which if that is the case, please correct me. Though if they did spend all that money on the arena, it would make me further doubt their ability with how the arena looks.
  18. The big igloo association itself is very much not a white supremacists group. They would disavow those who are for white supremacy. They believe "the liberty movement should be for all people", but yeah, it's basically just a group advocating for civil war/revolution.
  19. I would think the picks would be based on how far teams make it in the playoffs, just like every year, then teams that lost in the first round would be based on who had the lowest points in the season for the best pick.
  20. I realize that many may not believe me, and thats fine. I heard from a somewhat connected source that the Sabres were in talks with Calgary for a deal that would send Risto and Larsson for Monahan and Bennet. Jbotts was trying to get it down to just Risto for Monahan. Fwiw, I also heard there were talks of Mccabe and Larsson for Trochek about a week before the Trochek rumors started flying. I was asked to keep it hushed before the deadline.
  21. I am an occasional poster, but a frequent reader. I would say my reason for not posting often is due to my lack of hockey knowledge. Pretty much all of my knowledge is from watching sabres games and reading here. I don't have the extensive knowledge of players in the league like some here. Sometimes I feel I do not have something significant to contribute, and don't want to just blow hot air. I am a young fan, and I think as my hockey knowledge grows, my post quantity is likely to increase with it.
  22. The thing is though, everyone else in the division also has a tougher schedule as well. They all face chiefs/chargers/broncos/raiders and Rams/Seahawks/49ers/Cardinals. The Patriots also face Ravens/Texans, so I think that yes, we should be favorites in the AFC east.
  23. Lazar has been taking OT draws since before Jack has appeared injured.
  24. That is due more to a lack of point producers on the team than him being outstanding. A quick check puts him not even in the top 60 in ppg (I couldn't find the stat on a site, so I was looking at the top scorers and roughly checking, stopped after I got to the 65th top scorers)
