  1. 1 year of Kane is not worth that much to me. If it was a sign and trade it would be more expensive, (probably similar to your proposed trade) and I don’t think I would do that. By the time we are really ready for cup contention, Kane will likely have slowed down a decent bit, and his cap hit likely won’t match with his production. Not worth it IMO. If we can get him at the cost we got Skinner, I’d do it, but not much more.
  2. Adams plan: the team plays great but is handicapped by poor goaltending. The Sabres finish 10th/11th in the league, and then miraculously win the lottery. Bedard is added to an already skilled young forward group, and the Sabres use 3 2nds on RD to balance out the roster. Sabres win 5 of the next 10 cups.
  3. Savoie was a no brainer, and to me looks like a guy that could end up at C, or he could end up as a RW. Östlund I think either ends up at C or doesn’t really stick. Kulich looks like a guy that can play anywhere in the lineup, if he develops well, he could be a top 6 winger or a 2nd line center. Or he could play further down the lineup in whatever role you want from him. I think they were all BPA according to their board, and at least Savoie and Kulich were among the BPA according to the media.
  4. He’s not really even a career backup at this point in his career. He’s played a total of 28 NHL games, 19 of which came this past season. Before that, he had not had more than 3 NHL games in a season.
  5. Remember when Pekar was the second most exciting prospect at Dev Camp? (After Dahlin of course.) I would expect Pekar to be there and he won’t come close to cracking top 10. My how times have changed.
  6. Hopefully never, I’d rather there just be the odd 1 goalie a year added to the system. Topinen this year, Levi last year, ??? Next year.
  7. 2020/2021 were the years of the wingers, 2022 the year of the centers, please KA let 2023 be the year of the Dmen.
  8. Such as? I’ve reached the point where I might recognize 1 name of who’s left, maybe.
  9. Gustav karlsson That’s a hockey name if I’ve seen one
  10. 6’1, 175 lbs. good size for a 17 year old kid.
  11. Wonder if he was playing injured to start the season then. I like it, could have some untapped upside.
  12. Does that mean he scored 2 in his first 16 this season?
  13. I hope the Sabres don’t touch Gibson with a 39 foot poll. Hasn’t been above .905 and a negative GSAA for the past 3 years. On top of that he is overpaid for the next 5 years.
  14. What I really like about this draft, is by the time these guys are ready for the league, Quinn and JJP should have already established themselves as quality wingers. That gives us Tuch, Skinner, Quinn, JJP, Oloffson, and whichever of the centers that may eventually end up at W for Savoie/Ostlund to set up.
  15. I think that limit is if he is under contract to a team, and it depends on the league. He didn’t play in the CHL, or the SHL where those rules are more strict. Don’t much about the Czech league restrictions.
  16. Oops, flip flopped where the picks were going in my mind. makes a lot more sense now.
  17. Ideal 2nd round for me: Trikozov at 41, trade up for Warren.
  18. RD I like that I’d be alright with at 41: Chelsey, Luneau, Warren, Casey, Salmosson, Havelid non Rd I’d be alright with: Trikozov, owen beck (think we need more Cs? lol)
  19. By that he means, thanks to Geekie going 11, players he would rather have are sliding.
  20. Please no. Savoie and Nazar would be much preferred.
  21. Love korchinski going at 7, come on Savoie fall.
