  1. I just saw this thread now, I've been an avid collector since the 80's. I still remember chasing the 1986 donruss Jose Canseco Rated Rookie, such an iconic card. I now have 1 graded. I have a bunch of hockey mostly graded, Cozens, Ullmark (sold), Rinehart (sold), Eichel (sold), Tuch FWA, Devon levi, Jack Quinn, JJ peterka, looking to get thompson. Also have a PSA 4 Gilbert perault RC and looking to get the rest of the French Connection.
  2. Terrible news, he always seemed like a good dude also. Disgusting also if the driver was impaired!
  3. Like last season, I forgot all about him.
  4. I said Kulich, I just didn’t see anything from Rosen that looked like he belonged up here granted it was only a short stint but I wasn’t impressed. Kulich to me is going to be the player the Sabres count on when an injury arises and you know it’s going to happen.
  5. That’s a fair assessment, he definitely needs to show more this season.
  6. I'm just curious why do you think it's a roundabout way? We had Midlestadt on the roster but they didn't want to pay him, Byram is definitely an upgrade although not the righty I was hoping for. Adams has said he doesn't really care about the handedness??? If that how you say it. I'm not feeling Jokiharju as a "puck mover" but that's just me.
  7. besides McLeod, Benson and Zucker there is also Greenway who has been in the top 6 when needed before.
  8. Yeah it doesn't mean everything but it's definitely helpful to have guys who have been there, done that at least imo.
  9. I voted "change was needed and Lindy is an upgrade, but I would have preferred someone else", I really wanted Craig Berube, I think he was the better fit imo. I think Ruff will be great for bringing fans into the building, everyone knows he will be on these players and doesn't want to let the fans down but what if he does? This could get real ugly for him. I really hope he can hold up that Stanley cup before he retires which is another reason I wasn't a fan of thw Ruff hire, he'll be retiring very shortly.
  10. I was torn what to comment on here since I know Skinner needed to go but only with a plan in place, addition by subtraction is fine defensively but we have nobody on the roster now who will be able to replace those points. To me this is the Stefon Diggs move, trading a player with absolutely no plan in place other than 1 is a headache and the other is terrible defensively both could have waited a year and it would have made more sense than creating a gant hole on the rosters imo.
  11. 100% loved what they did with the bottom 6 and I've been begging for it since I can remember. Now were on par imo with most teams bottom pairing players who make it to the playoffs each season. I even don't have a single problem with the Beck Malenstyn draft day trade for a 2nd, it was exactly what we needed to do and liked all the players they brought in to help this team get tougher, faster and more balanced imo.
  12. I thought Adams did quite well on both trades, we got our puck moving defensemen and our 3rd line center, added speed and playoff/Stanley Cup experience with both players which is a huge plus.
  13. I went with good but incomplete... I love what we did to the 3rd and 4th lines but if we're now relying on Zucker to replace Skinner then it ruins everything they just did. I thought for certain when they bought out Skinners contract that they had a solid plan in place. It turns out it was just to save money since we're once agai9n several million under the cap saving it for a Pegula Yacht. To think all this team needs is a swift kick in the ass from Ruff and some bottom 6 players just seems like more reasons why we haven't made playoffs in 13 years imo.
  14. Can you play left wing? I hear there’s an opening.
  15. True, I already had youtube TV before they got the games so it was no big deal for me although the price hike sucked regardless. I don't have netflix and I'm not paying for it either just to watch a few meaningless regular season games. These money grabs are getting insane and if we all keep paying for them then they;ll just keep doing it.
  16. I'm sure Adams will be signing them all to 8 year 7.5M deals shortly.
  17. It must be nice to have a competent GM, it's been so long I couldn't tell you what that looks like.
  18. 29.99 per month is outrageous. $240 to watch hocky games for 7 months is just a money grab imo.
  19. I don't think it was the only reason but the bottom 6 basically added very little toughness, little secondary scoring. We added the toughness for sure and hopefully with Zucker, McLeod we now have the secondary scoring as well.
  20. I 100% think these were Ruff types of moves had had alot of say who to go get imo but of course we'll never know that but the fact that Adams has never picked up these types of players other than Green way in the years he's been GM makes me think it's correct.
  21. Yeah I get what you mean and it's taken Adams almost 5 seasons to finally add toughness to the roster and probably only did so because Ruff wanted those types of players.
  22. I actually like the addition of Malenstyn alot, not because of the lack of moves we made getting a top 6 but because we finally have toughness in pretty much all of our lines right now aside from line 1 that is (I like Tuch but I wouldn't really call him tough but an argument can be made he adds toughness to our top line). Cozens line 2, the entire 4th line , Greenway/Benson on line 3.
  23. You should never be done tinkering with the roster. I still don't see the Skinner replacement, Jokiharju can 100% be upgraded also.
  24. Jack Hughes was a minus player all but 1 season with Lindy as the HC.
