Another LHD? Why does Adams not care about this? I saw videos on how this is a disadvantage in certain instances when a LHD plays on the right and vice versa.

I like that our last 2 players selected have physical traits, much like the player we picked up in the deal with the Caps, they are emphasizing that we need to get more physical but the thing I don't like is that we waited this long to get these types of players but baby steps I guess.

You know what's going to happen, Adams will make all of his draft picks, add a few more 4th liners and bring up our younger players who haven't earned a place on this roster yet. I fully expect this to happen and it will be the last year of Adams until we hire on another unqualified GM to take over.

We keep hearing Kevyn Adams saying there is no trading partners yet a team with no name makes 2 very impressive trades. I really am starting to like the kid from Washington the more i read on him but to think we could have received Sergachev or Marino is really inexcusable to me.

I don't know I'm actually starting to like this pickup as I read more about him, had 241 hits last season (tied for 12th), was on Washingtons shutdown line. Seems like the guy I was asking for, he's not a good offensive player but seems very hard to play against, energy guy, i'm starting to come around to it regardless of the 2nd round value.

This is the first time I'm going to say this ever, please stop Kevyn Adams from trading now. Just let him get fired without worsening our hockey team.

I've said it before the draft I fully expect Adams to make these picks, I'll be pleasantly surprised to see a trade. I'd like him to move at least 1 2nd for a player with a no clause meaning a bottom tier player to bring in. Not a goon but a player that would be hard to play against and there is no reason he can't make a move like that.

Why when someone makes a point on here do they immediately go on the defensive? You asked who was traded for a 1st round pick for a player correct? I find it hard to believe he couldn't find any suitors, my guess like all of yours is that he didn't want to give up a precious prospect as well in any deal but thats my 2 pennies.

3 prospects I'm surprised not to see in the top 32 still on the board: 1. RW Nikita Artamonov- Excellent hockey sense who always seems to be in the right places much like our 14th overall pick, isn't the biggest guy but plays with an edge and started producing right away in the KHL which not many 18 uear olds do. 2. RHD Charlie Elick- big dman at 6'3" 203 lbs., very mobile for a guy of his stature and physical, in fact many WHL players stated he was the toughest dman they've ever played against. 27 points in the regular season and a +4, also added 3 assists in 7 games at the U18 WJC. 3. RHD Dominik Badinka- another big 6'3" 185 lbs. right shot dman, this guy is much more defensive minded than Elick from what I'm reading and seeing on him, he's very mobile matching the players speed either heading back with skaters looking to break away. If you can get his offensive game going this guy could be a absolute steal.

Even better then since you can never have too many quality centers, plus he was I believe 52% in faceoffs.

He's more of a RW prospect at the NHL level isn't he? At least that's what alot of the so called "gurus" were projecting him as.

He seems really skilled and aware both offensively and defensively. Like the guy said though, he wont have as much room at the NHL level but playing against men will help.

I'm no prospect guru but from what I read and saw on Youtube he appears to be both sound on offense and solid defensively. Am I wrong about that?
