  1. Even Dunleavy seemed into this one by the end of the 3rd.
  2. More combos have entered the 100min club and our boys are still DFL at 344 out of 344.
  3. $1 beer for anyone wearing a Sabres jersey during all Leaf games.
  4. Two more lines entered the 100 minute club. They're now 333 out of 333. I wonder, if these guys were as good as an average NHL 3rd line (which presumably could be had a relatively low cost through free agency), how many more wins would the team have?
  5. On a happier note, Peterka got another 2 points tonight.
  6. ^^^^^^^ Bjork is 366 and Eakin is 368.
  7. Nope. Of forwards that have a minimum of 30 games, he's 379th out of 380 in points per 60min played. The other two have NHL level skill, they just lack the IQ. Hayden has neither.
  8. I saw that too. It's unfathomable to me to see how this could have been. For sure Eakin drives down the line, but Bjork is the lowest IQ guy on the team... and Hayden is Hayden. I don't really remember the line at all, but it just seems impossible given the lack of talent.
  9. Eakins contract expires the end of the year so there's basically no chance he plays beyond this season, which is already lost. My bigger concern is that Bjork is still on the books for another year. He just isn't smart enough to play in the league... but I suspect Adams will be trotting him out again next year just because they're paying him.
  10. The numbers back the eye test. They are 331st out of 331 on expected goal % for combos with a minimum 100 minutes played! Use the site and move the minute slider to 100 minutes. https://moneypuck.com/lines.htm I HATE watching these scrubs. It's unbelievable how low their collective hockey IQs are. They aren't completely overmatched skill wise, but the total lack of instinct and hockey smarts is off the charts. It's so frustrating to watch.
  11. Bar fight!!!!!!!!!
  12. He inspired a group of angry teens to be better.
  13. Yep, he's nothing but class.
  14. I'm not a South Buffalo guy, so I'll say no way I'm giving up any prospects... not even my much maligned Rosen to rent Patrick Kane for a year. I think if you separate the emotional Kane/Buffalo factor no deal makes sense.
  15. Is there any reason why Chicago does this deal, especially since we have nothing but core young pieces to offer? Given we don't want to give up core young pieces, and teams don't give away good players for nothing, this is probably just pie in the sky. I get it though... seeing another good home town guy like Tuch would be pretty cool. The only way Kane would ever make sense would be after he's a UFA, and only if he takes a major home town discount.
  16. This with Eakin-Hayden-Bjork getting regular minutes. Not to mention our other JAGs on defense and in net. Ship them all out next year and replace the with what we've got in the system and maybe a couple slightly better JAGs as filler and we might have something.
  17. Nadeau is 1.41ppg right now in the Q. It seems he would be one of our better prospects, but doesn't seem to be getting much attention. Aside for his stat sheet, does anyone have any insight on him?
  18. Is Bjork-Eakin-Hayden the worst line in the National Hockey League?
  19. Connolly in his very short prime was about as good a forward as we've ever had. I loved watching his dangles. If we got prime Connolly on a long term, we're set!!!!
  20. Don't confuse the concept of a bust with the concept of a bad pick. Rosen was and has been the latter from the get-go. With the U18's being the notable exception, he's tracking pretty much where you'd expect based on his numbers leading into the draft. Some smart guy down in Texas thought they saw something in him that made him 13th overall material. But I think @sabremike was dead on when he said: "How many times is it going to take to teach NHL GM's that drafting guys based on a junior tournament performance is almost always a real bad idea?" Aa per my usual disclaimer, I badly want to be proven wrong on this and will gladly wear all the egg on my face you guys can toss... In the meantime, I'll reserve the right to be disappointed in the pick.
  21. I was hoping for free... But a price that makes going over just for an evening to watch a game would be my ballpark. Maybe $20 or less? The going rate of $65 I seem to be seeing would be more than I'd want to spend.
  22. Given his season this year, he'll have to come cheap. Given his past production he has the chance of being good. Unless the teams medical staff says otherwise, this seems like a low risk (cost), with a potential for high reward (could score 30 goals).
  23. I would agree with that.
