I was watching this one with a bunch of ppl so I couldn't watch as close as usual but Miller looked like he is in mid-season form and good move by Lindy to go with him. I still hope he gets a break soon though. That Pommers, Hodgson, Vanek line looks very legit, however I haven't cared much for the Ennis line or the Girgs line. Ott played decent but other than the fight I never really noticed Foligno (for the second straight game) and Stafford has not been good IMO. Well, scary at the end but a win is a win. Let's go for the back to back sweep starting Thursday.

If we can make it to the playoffs I think he's going to be a game changer. He is a very nice addition in the regular season but I can't wait to see what he could do in the playoffs.

Ya that Hodgson for Kassian trade is looking pretty good right now. When Darcy actually makes a trade I've generally been very happy with the majority of them and his drafting has been stellar as well (with the help of the scouting department obviously). The one big knock is he sometimes waits too long to make the deal happen.

He had a poor showing today for sure. But last year I honestly thought he was one of our best dmen.

Absolutely. If he can put in that effort every game we're going to have a very nice top line.

Ya, I forgot in my previous post about Hodgson. I've been very pleasantly surprised at how well he's played. IMO his play is going to be a huge factor on where this team ends up.

Just wanted to jump in and say how nice it is seeing #9 run guys over. Everytime they show a big hit by Ott I immidately think 'oh sit is that Roy throwing his body around?' Team looks pretty decent overall except for Leo and Ehrhoff has looked shaky at times. I guess some of this is to be expected. As for Grigo, I think the penalties and 4 on 4 play have really limited his availability.

Wow, nice to see the Sabres fans with the glass half full. I'm thinking we will battling somewhere in that 6-10 range but I'm optimistic we get the job done. Other than Toronto, possibly Montreal and the Islanders, there are no teams that we play where I'll think oh we should win this one pretty easily. The way the Isles handle us I rarely say that anymore. Having said that, I'm predicting a 7th place finish and give the #1 seed a real run for thier money if not a full upset.

And those two brothers on the top line of course. Their division is so poor that I'd be surprised if they don't run away with the west.

Ya I think this is right. I've never seen him play so I can't judge too harshly but Pardy has never played more than 60 NHL games in a season and his stats sure don't blow you away. $2 mil sounds a little high for a depth type of defenseman, espically with all that we already have in the system. I'd prefer a trade, but this move would not shock me at all.

So was anyone at practice this morning? Any writeups on what drills went down and who looked good?

Huh, didn't know mini-pack holders had different times based on seniorty. Pretty good idea actually and you're right, I would think 9am would have been the earliest. This is only my second year of buying a mini-pak, up until the start of last year I would only go to two or three a year. I guess the good thing about me being cheap (actually I also prefer it up there) I usually only sit in the 300. Usually no risk of sellout when I buy them at the start of the year, I just try for the closest to the front of the 300 as I can. Row 2 for the game against the Leafs later this year and within the first 5 rows in the corner for all 4 games!

Thanks for all of the updates on here guys! If anyone has a video of the game it would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I'm loving the potential of Grigs/Leino/Ott. I think if the Sabres plan is mainly to roll 3 lines and use the 4th line as a specialty unit then it is worth having Grigs up in the lineup this season. Third line may take some pressure off of him and I absolutley love that Ott is on the kids line. From the sounds of Ott's game he'll keep the attention away from Grigs and not allow any funny business when the young gun is on the ice. Maybe Grigs will even make Leino a better player and not have that huge cap hit sticking out like a sore thumb.

Sorry man, sounds like you got jobbed. If it makes you feel any better (which I'm sure it doesn't) it was a nightmare on Sunday for Sabres mini-pak holders trying to select their new games. First the link I received in my email didn't work so I was on hold with customer service for 15 minutes. Then once I got in and selected all of my games it said you had to type in your credit card (which is fine because they won't charge it if you have a credit). But there was a glitch in their system and it just came up saying my credit card was already in their system and please enter a new credit card. Which is a problem when you couldn't change the name of the account holder on the credit card and I only own one credit card. So another 24 mintues later on hold again I finally spoke to someone and manually told him the games and seats that I wanted. He said the credit card thing was a technical problem they were trying to sort out. I started trying to get the tickets when they immidiately went on sale at 11am and finally got off the phone with a rep and completed my order at nearly 1pm.

Wow, finally got my tickets. Guy said they were working with someone at tickets.com trying to fix that glitch. Feels kind of nice ordering tickets for 4 games and the guy CREDITING my visa $750 at the end of it!

Wow, now my page timed out and I lost all my info. What a nightmare of a system. Ya but when you put in that info it comes up and says 'error your credit card information is already in the system' and doesn't let you proceed. It's a technical error on their part.
