The only problem with the Roy Vanek Ennis line is that they are our CLEAR CUT three best forwards on the team without question. I absolutely love the line together but that leaves awfully slim pickins to fill out the remaining three lines. I agree with a previous poster, I say we keep the line together and try to play them as much as possible.

Hahahhaa, I wish they could sell out a game at 7 am. They can barely sell out at prime time now of days. I bought tickets for the Caps game on Saturday back in August when I thought they'd be great and tickets would be so hard to come by. They were sold out of 100 level so I had to buy 200 Club for $150 a piece. Kicking myself for that right now....

You're absolutely right. That's why it pisses me off that the Sabres insist on having Friday night as their typical home game nights. The NHL's big night is always on Saturday nights. Therefore, the Sabres seem to almost always have their home game on Friday and then travel or host a game the next night. Why can't they be like every other team and have their home games on say Mondays and Saturdays or really any other day than Friday or Sunday? They're putting themselves at a disadvantage before the season even begins by playing so many back to backs. Saying all that, they of course don't play this Friday night.

Sabres have every reason to be just as desperate a team. Let's see if they show it.

Can we expect the Rook to pull out another solid performance? Let's hope so.....

Good on Ruff. People obviously voice their opinions on him one way or the other but since they've been in this slide he's shouldered critisim and now goes on record as saying they WILL make the playoffs. Before everyone starts throwing out the 'I want to see it to believe it' talk, let's give it a couple of more weeks before we completely throw him under the bus. Remember, the Tin man is UFA after this year and isn't Stafford's contract up after this season as well? I also believe that Rivet's is over. This team can be significantly reworked next offseason if desired. I stand by the belief that some players are just lazy and it won't matter what coach they have. I'm not willing to give Ruff a complete free pass and if things continue down this path then I say get some new coaching blood in here but with 70 games to go, I'm STILL willing to give Ruff the benefit of the doubt.

I'm going to the game against the Caps next Saturday. If they don't win tonight or Friday they still will not have won a game on home ice by the time I get there. Never thought that would have been the case when I bought the tickets in August....

Gerbe was hurt but like Rivet this could be a blessing. Someone earlier said that this line has provided good effort, but I don't see it. Gerbe is terrible. Seriously, for a small guy, I need you producing points. Not only has he not done that, he's easily knocked off the puck and looks lost out there. Might be time he sits on the bench and Adam gets called back up whether he's healthy or not....

I was freaking because I checked the Centre Ice Channels and couldn't find it. For any Canadian Sabres fans, the game is being broadcast on TSN2.

I agree with this point. The team in front of Mason was horrible, but without him I think that game could have been alot more out of hand then what it ended up.

I also hate Ottawa. There's already trade talk in Canada's nation's capital and let's give them another reason to continue talking! Let's Go Buffalo. I'm thinking 4-2 good guys.

Good win last night. Although the scoreboard read 4-1, IMO that game could of ended 7 or 8 - 1. They absolutely dominated from beginning to end. If I had a critisim it would be that again there were many chances that were not being burried. We have 'depth' scoring, but other than Vanek there's no one really who can be counted on to score with any consistancy. Speaking of Vanek, did anyone catch the quick look to the heavens after he scored? Great to see!

Good point, but I don't want to have true "must win" games in mid February because of a terrible start.

True, and they did beat Washington earlier this year. Still, it's a game we need to have.

I'm going out and saying a must win game. Thrashers don't have many players on that team that scare me. Sabres could be more focused on the road. If there was ever a turnaround game it looks like this could be it. Wouldn't be surprised by a three or four goal win. Hope I'm not wrong, we need this one badly....

Well, apparantly the weather is suppose to be great this weekend. My complaint? I can't enjoy it because I am getting married in May and my wife to be is a Catholic. Therefore we have to take a 'marriage course'. I know, some might say about how important it is but we've been together for over four years, lived together for two, communicate well and have a great relationship. Now I'm going to listen to a priest tell me how to act in a relationship. Oh and the kicker, it's 830 until 9 on sat and 830 until 5 on sun......

I'll comment on the weather as well. You work all year long to get the odd long weekend. So you finally get that weekend and plan a big camping trip. Weather report - Friday Thundershowers, Saturday possibility of thundershowers, Sunday issolated showers Great.....
